I know eBay don’t let sellers block people with under 5 feedback score anymore which is annoying as hell and sorely missed but I just thought can I turn off the guest checkout option as that may also cut down the amount of zero feedback bidders im getting? ( and if so how do u do it as I’m assuming there is no easy simple way to do it as this is eBay after all nothing is made easy for sellers these days other than for them to now take their ridiculously high fee charges)

You can’t block or turn off guest checkout. If you’re getting buyers who don’t pay you cancel the transaction after 96 hours the buyer gets an unpaid item strike.

Yes but that gets boring and not convinced them getting a strike does anything as I’d have dished out more than MLB!

All your items are listed as BIN not auction so not sure what you are referring to unless its the offers you are getting since you are using the OBO option. I would estimate about 30% of my sales are to 0 feedback/guest buyers and I have not had any problems or issues with any of those sales.
Feedback, given the lack of buyers and sellers not giving it) is generally a poor indicator of risk these days. If you are trying to get rid of the 0 feedback offerors simply turn off the OBO option on your listing and turn on immediate payment required. This will NOT stop a 0 feedback buyer from purchasing your item however.

The OP is PMing me arguing about being able to block zero/low/under 5 feedback bidders at one time.
That option has never existed. Not even in the UK.
Why are so many sellers confused about this?

What proof did you send me?
You say potato.

@inhawaii is dead right. The only block we ever had was feedback score of negative numbers (-5 I think).
@retrokonsoleking Yes, strikes do work. Do you know where to see this in action? https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/blockedbuyeractivities
Here is mine right now:

Someone else ( maybe there wasn’t many people to block in Hawaii so no need 🙂

I think they are mis-remembering or misreading the buyer requirement where you can block zero and low-feedback members from purchasing more than one item in ten days, or maybe they didn't notice that the block on negative feedback score (choose from -1 through -5) had a negative sign. I've been selling since 1999 and it has never been possible to block that first purchase from a low-feedback bidder.
I also have never had problems with my zero-feedback bidders and buyers. I suspect that sport bidders and other problematic bidders (such as those who bid on multiple items and then pick which wins to pay for) are more common in some categories than others. In the collectibles areas where I mostly sell, they just don't happen.

Yes. Click on the link to see. If you think you are right, post proof. Don't PM us arguing your (wrong) point.

Not sure whose messaging who ? But anyway you could but it’s been removed years ago and pointless arguing about it now so unsure but I’m going now as this is too complicated to use and doesn’t help solve anything I’ve asked about but it’s a shame eBay don’t bring it back ( as I say doesn’t sound like the states have it ) but they prefer to help buyers at any cost rather than sellers

OK you win.
Yeah I wish ebay would bring back the ability to block bidders with less than 5 feedback.
Those were the days.
