Hey everyone,
I have another question...prompted by someone else's post that I didn't want to hijack.
When eBay gives you free listings (50 per month), and those listings end, even though I don't have 50 items listed, I'm getting charged .30 to relist.
Am I supposed to be getting charged? I thought as long as there were not over 50 listings you didn't get charged to relist. Was I wrong and have to wait until the next month to relist?

You can only list 50 listings free in a month........ it doesn't matter how many are "showing".........
variations only count as 1 listing each, no matter how many variations per listing.

I see 98 listings, were they done over 2 months?
Also you have some variation listings which may count for more than 1.
I typed to slow, out sniped

Oh sorry, I am in the wrong ID again. I meant the mindless-illusions ID.
Oh, so if you have variations, they are counted as more than one listing? I did not know that. Then I might as WELL list them separately if they are going to be counted separately right?

You get 50 free basic insertions per month. When you start a listing (either new or relist) then you use up one of those free insertions. It's not about how many listings are active at the same time.

You can only list 50 listings per calendar month. If you list 50 items all on August 1st, you do not get to list any more items (including relists) for free until Sept. 1st, even if you sold some items and you only have 40 showing. Sometimes e-bay will send you offers for more free listings, so keep an eye out 🙂 .

As far as variations and MQ listings go - they only count as ONE of your free listings, BUT every item on that listing counts against your ITEM listing limits.
For example -my selling activity shows I currently have 691 LISTINGS, but I have 1,041 listed against my selling limits as a large number of those are MQ.

Ok, thank you! I actually was just online with an ebay member/rep to find out about some charges I had, and I asked him about the 50. Glad to know I don't get "double dipped" with the variations. 🙂
