I sold a book which was shipped from Jamaica 25th November 2024. The book cleared customs in Miami on December 3rd and arrived at Opa-locka Distribution Center on December 5th. For the next few weeks, USPS tracking simply stated In transit, arriving late. I opened a package inquiry with USPS without resolution. At the end of December, the buyer requested a refund. I responded by opening a missing mail search with USPS, stating that when the package is found , it is to be returned to sender as the buyer no longer wanted the item. I refunded the buyer on Jan 3rd, 2025 as I go no updates from USPS. However, on the 20th ,the package was tracked to Hollywood Airport then sent back to Opa-locka two days later. On the 24th, the package departed and was delivered to the already- refunded buyer on the January 27th. I sent a message to the buyer on the same day asking him to return the item but with no response. I also contacted eBay via email with the delivery details and asking for their intervention but with no response. I have been a eBay seller since December 2020 and I have never had this experience with USPS. How can this matter be resolved?. It is not my fault the package arrived so late..
