Sold a men’s watch with 6 pictures including model number and full description, buyer claims the item does not match the pictures, that it is too small. eBay says it is their policy to return funds, with no effort to verify if buyer’s claim is correct. This is so wrong

All you can do is supply a return shipping label, and refund after return. Buyer is king on Ebay.

Tho I dont see any measurements in your listing? I have that very same watch!

I think the phrase "No Returns does not mean No Refunds" needs to be put right in the option when a seller checks "No Returns" for their listings.
If a buyer submits a Item Not as Described Return, you have two choices:
A) Accept the return, get your item back and then refund the buyer.
B) Deny the return, and the buyer keeps the item and eBay gives them a full refund.
It sounds like you chose B.

This platform offers a money back guarantee to all buyers. You were aware of that before you listed the watch. All you can do is accept the return and refund once it arrives. You can sell the watch again afterwards. That is a part of online selling, when a buyer cannot try on an item and only relies on photos. Best of luck to you....

My advise is to take the emotion out of this. eBay will refund your buyer whether or not you cooperate or agree with the process.
When one is hung up on what’s fair and just, time passes and in a few days it’s too late.
eBay does not require the buyer to return the product. If the seller wants the item back, they have to provide the label.

You might think it's wrong, but this is Ebays site and they make the rules we have to follow.
If you want it returned before refunding, accept the return and provide a shipping label.

eBay says it is their policy to return funds, with no effort to verify if buyer’s claim is correct
@josefada
This is eBay. The buyer needs not be "correct", nor tell the truth. Nobody at eBay will even check to see the buyer is complaining about a sweater when you sold them an anvil. They just need to pick the correct reason from the 'drop down' menu to insure that you pay for return shipping. Of course, the return does not even have to be YOUR product. They just need confirmation of delivery to you or any entity in your Zipcode.

Thanks, I learned the hard way. eBay did not make it clear or I just screwed up

What did eBay not make clear?

Looking at the pictures I would not know if that watch is 2", 3", 4" or even 5" in diameter. Sorry it happened but obviously the buyer wanted one larger then the one you sold them.

At this point all you can do is approve the return by sending a return label. After that it is time to get down on your knees and pray to all the major and minor gods that you get the watch back and not a rock in a box.

Regadless of your return policy, if the buyer opened an item not as described case then you don't have a choice but to accept the return & issue a refund once it reaches you.

Block buyer from making more purchases
Send return label
Don't contact
If anything is missing or damaged take photos
Report buyer to ebay for misusing ebay returns for: 1. disagree with reason and explain, 2. If damaged/missing/returned different item than sent to buyer, these would be the reasons to select instead, and explain what buyer did, thatyou have the photos showing what you listed and what you received back
