Refund question ...

To make a long story short I sold two items to two Buyers ( 1 & 2).  I accidently printed Buyer 1's label twice and put it on Buyer's 2 package.  The day after shipment I noticed Buyer 2's item still showed waiting to be shipped. 

I contacted both Buyers, great folks and very understanding.  Buyer 1 agreed to ship the package back when they got it and Buyer 2 said no problem, they sell on eBay too so just keep them informed of what's going on.

Buyer 1 sent the package back to me and I had told them I would Refund the cost of the shipping label from their order plus $ 2.00 they suggested for their effort so I refunded MORE than the original shipping amount on their order.  Now on the Buyer 1 Sold item it show the 1/2 dark dollar sign (like a pending echeck would show) and the item price is now back in red on the total section like it has yet to be paid.  I can not use the little pulldown at this point and use marked as Piad because that choice is not there anymore (at lest not in the classic view).

Do I need to concern myself with this because I refunded Buyer 1 more then their original shipping cost (ironically, both orders for Buyer 1 & 2 had the same shipping cost).

No concern.

The half $ indicates partial refund.

You fixed the problem. Perfectly.

Its not your job to cover ebay for their inadequacies.

If something comes back, and i doubt it will, you can call ebay and ask why there is no algorithm for this.

If Buyer 1 tells you that an unpaid item is hurting their ability to use ebay.....

Okay. I just got that. Very funny. Never gonna happen.

Thank you  ... Sorry for the delay ... speaking of inadequacies ... The Comminuty settings STILL DON'T WORK on 2 browsers here so even though I have my settings set to subcribe me to my own posts IT NEVER HAPPENS.

Yes.

Before the q1, I subscribed to the ebay investor.ebay.com.

I confirmed my email and they semt another email that I would be notified when the q1 was out, as well as other news.

Still waiting.

Now some analyst is advising to short ebay stock.

To short stock means to bet it will go lower.

I dont know who I'm more upset with- ebay or the analyst.

If they would show all the items we have for sale there would not be a stock issue ... other than it going up ...
