I don’t know why I keep forgetting the criteria for a seller to get the feedback protection for refunding a buyer when a formal return is filed. Is it for sellers that do free returns, or TRS+?

Anyway, my question is for the sellers who have this protection. Do you still get that feedback protection if you receive the item and end up issuing a less than full refund because the item was returned to you damaged by the buyer?

Sellers Top Rated that have a 30 day returns policy (can vary by category), among other criteria.

Sellers that offer Free Returns rated Above Standard or higher.

Yes, still applies if you issue partial refund. Make sure you report the buyer for protections to kick in.
