So I recently sold my Iphone, got the confirmation that the buyer had paid and my funds would be held till I shipped the item, I shipped the item and it was delivered and now there is no trace of money being delivered to my account, not on hold, payouts or previous anything, It is only showing the fee that Ebay takes for selling an item and the shipping label that I have already paid for. Now it is saying my account is negative 60 something dollars for that fee they charged me. Does this need to be paid before they give me the money for the item I sold? Or should there be something telling me that if that is the case? This is the first time I've sold something on Ebay and so far, I probably never will again to be honest!

You're a new seller. It may take some time before the money is deposited into your account via payout.

iPhones are literally the worst thing a new seller can sell here.

How were you notified that you were paid? Was it a Paypal notice? If so, those are fake and a scam. This was for the sale on the 19th?

Looks like your buyer was either suspended, or closed his account, not a good sign.

Your a new seller who probably just got scammed out of that phone.  Scammers feast upon new sellers like yourself listing expensive electronics.  You probably got a fake message stating that the buyer had paid and that you needed to ship to release the funds.  Sorry, there is little to do other than notify some authorities if you want to take that time out of your day for naught.

The money you owe is most likely the Final Value Fees from your sale. These are normally deducted from any funds or pending funds.

I'm guessing your total funds are showing a negative. Are there any funds processing or funds being held? If so, that should be what you will receive once the hold is over.

And you have signed up for Managed Payments? You will not receive ANY funds unless you have.

Doesnt Ebay notify new sellers if that is the problem?

Sorry but your phone is gone and you owe eBay money.

Phone and other high dollar electronics are scam magnets. Wish you would have come here for advice before listing the phone.

I laid the fee and still nothing yet, it’s been 2 days since i spoke to them on the phone and they had no idea why this was happening but it’s showing the money i’m owed just not that it’s pending or anything like that. definitely not a fun experience

The phone reps don't work for eBay. They are sub-contractors.

Try these:

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.

However, the best you may be able to get is the return of your fees on the failed transaction.

Have you registered for Managed Payments and is your MP account active?

I don't know why eBay doesn't make it mandatory to have an active MP account before they can list anything. Without that, eBay /MP can't transfer customer payments to the seller's checking account.
