I received payment via PayPal for an item but it’s not showing up in my sold items, it’s still listed under selling. What is going on with this?

I've had that happen a couple times.

I'll get a message from Pay Pal saying I got a payment, but nothing on Ebay.

Finally a couple hours later I get the message from Ebay and the item was waiting to be shipped.

You confirmed this by logging into your PayPal account, or you think it is real because the email looks real? If you have not logged into yuour PayPal account, you should definitely do it now to make sure the payment is there.

Yes, and I also received a notification from the app. Didn’t even open the email until later and didn’t click on anything in it anyways.

It sounds like the same glitch that happened to me about a year and a half ago.

The payment posted in my PayPal account (I even called PayPal to verify this), but the item on eBay was still active and never showed as sold. I ended the listing and shipped the item from PayPal and everything ended well.

Several other sellers have also encountered this glitch. Some of them didn't know that the item "sold" until the buyer opened an INR, so the sale apparently shows on the buyer's side, but not the seller's.

If it's not a super expensive item and the payment is in PayPal, you're probably safe to ship. If it's more valuable, you may want to contact the buyer or take other action first.

Evening,

Back I think in June of 2015 I had such a sale.

It never recorded in ebay but I got a notification from PP. At first they couldn't even find it until the used the classic format...there it was.

They had no idea how to handle it because there was no record of it in ebay.

The customer had opened a INR case through PP...not ebay.

We called PP...refunded the buyer and asked if they would try the purchase again...which graciously they did...that time it went through.

Thinking I would call PP about it.

I also called ebay and they said they had no idea what I was talking about and they had no sale record on their end and there was nothing they could.

Not sure if this helps.

Lucky you. If it's seller elligible then I vote you ship and buy your label through paypal. If it never shows up on ebay you just saved 10%. Merry Christmas from ebay? LOL

I would go this route in a heart beat....okay...done!

I would call PP first to be sure if they had any problems with it....because we all know PP is King and ebay is just one of 7 wives..

Many moons ago I got a message from a seller. She said that she'd received payment from me for a sale that she hadn't made. I contacted the real seller and was ignored, repeat the message, repeat the ignor. So I contacted the notSeller and she contacted the seller also. I'm not sure how this was resoved but I do remember not getting a thank you.

There's gremlins out there still waiting to rear their ugly heads.
