Rants VS help seeking posts

I wonder what percent of all the posts here are actually rants/vents and what percent are help seeking posts. I’m sure those won’t add up to 100% as I didn’t include troll posts like this one I’m writing.

Rants VS help seeking posts

I love to rant, and I expect to put one up soon while I deal with a return with an amazon drop shipper.

I swear if they give me another UPS amazon no box no label return QR that has absolutely no tracking and the CS rep's don't understand what's wrong with it.

I'm going to lose my mind...

Don't forget the posts that seem like they want help, but then argue with every correct response.

Never wondered about that. How many posts are there that do not give complete details and 10 or more people respond guessing what the answer might be? Maybe folks should ask for clarification from the poster instead of guessing. If the poster does not answer, why waste the time trying to help?

How about all the "conspiracy theory" posts lately.

It's amazing how many people out there truly think that ebay is out to get them.

If they think ebay is so evil, why do business with them?

Don’t those turn out to be rants or venting?

I may be wrong, but I think I would classify those as rants

Aren't you just arguing a correct response? 😉

I knew it.

You are an eBay Spy. Paid by eBay to live on a private island in Hawaii and spread eBay propaganda in the forums.

Have we noticed that the ones that give no details whatsoever appear to have intriguing problems and we literally beg the person to return but they never do?

Do ebay spies get paid?

@inhawaii

"Do ebay spies get paid?"

You are GOOD!

Just the response I expected.

You may be able to fool the others.

I KNOW you can't afford your luxurious Hawaiin lifestyle on an eBay seller's income. 🙄

An interesting topic. I always come here seeking help with rare or weird situations and seeking advice.  Often, I wish responders would take the time to read and ask questions before guessing and/ or giving random and useless advice. HEY, wait, did I just start ranting?

IMHO, random/useless advice is just fine because (a) it's all that can be offered at that point, given the fact that the original question contains almost no information and (b) it demonstrates an interest in trying to help someone solve a problem (even though we don't know exactly what the problem is).
