This had been the worst day of my eBay life, ever..
So I got up this more to a wonderful Natural feedback. What a way to wake up, Nothing special.. Likewise dude.
Then I packed stuff to go to the post office and SOMEHOW, a sold item got sold again. Has anyone figured that out. How does that happen. I am pretty sure I didn't do it. I am usually able to catch the oddman out listings before something happens. Guess i missed this one. So not only did I get the natural feedback, now going to get dinged for having to cancel the sale, and most likely going to get a neg for having to cancel the sale.
Seem like everything I have attempted to do this day, week, and month has broken.
I just want to be on my way..

Natural feedback is no big deal otherwise.

Hang in there Penny. I know many of us have had a day(s) like that if you sell here long enough. That feedback just looks silly, but I know the cancellation hurts. Are you sure it sold already? Maybe it is just hiding somewhere.

Thank you, I know in my head, but it still makes no sense in my heart.

Yes, it sold on or about the 18th. I expect someone WONDERFUL (I lovey you), found it. So far, I haven't gotten a ding. I have two, both my fault, another will really hurt. 72 more days. heheheh
Ya'll are the most wonderful folks in the world.

I understand that you are looking to rant - and thats fine - and I agree that the Neutral was silly and not deserved. But your listings have some problems that you might want to resolve before things get worse. I did not go over all your listings but the one for which you received a Neutral is a good example of things that could be improved:
1- The brand of model kit is Life-Like. You listed it as Life-Life. In other listings you give the brand as Like-Like. Fixing the name with accurate spelling will help you in search results.
2- Your description is lecturing people that 'Not reading is not an excuse.' Thats just silly as the only people who will see that are the ones who ARE reading it.
3- The phrase 'there are no demetons on the box' I think means to read 'there are no dimensions on the box.'
4- You write that you mail to US addresses only. That will confuse international buyers because your Shipping details say that you ship to most any international country location. As you are using Ebay International Shipping then there is no need to discourage buyers from other countries because your EIS shipment is going to an Ebay consolidation center in the US anyway. Ebay takes it the rest of the way.
The Neutral is not going to hurt your seller metrics and it makes your buyer sound like a ninny anyway. Brush up your attention to detail in your listings and you should continue to do fine. Good luck.

Thank you so very much for your constructive information.
I will be sure to take that into consideration for my future listings.

I think I would rather have a natural feedback than a neutral feedback. 😉
Hang in there Penny!
The weekend is almost here!

Hi @pennysdream ,
I wouldn't worry about that neutral at all! I wouldn't give it another thought. As others have said, it isn't going to hurt you & makes the buyer look bad, like a complainer, hard-to- please type. I once had a neutral that said ... Happy with purchase, thanks. Okay, so what was the problem? Nothing. That's the feedback he left for everyone! People do all kinds of nutty things!
If I could make a suggestion ... I also use some color in my listings, but I think it would be better if you had the text all in black. The bright blue is hard for me to read (and could be for others as well.) I use that blue for one sentence here & there, to highlight and for things like "Please Note" ... but the text would be easier to read in a darker color or black. Good luck! 😊

During the past 2 months I have had two items that were sold (qty. was only 1 each) somehow relisted again. This situation happened again in a prior year. Once I sell an item its gone therefore, I suspect somewhere the eBay system, at times, have a glitch? I also got lucky as the customers let me cancel the order on their behalf, so I was not dinged.

I wouldn't let it spoil my day. You are still at 100% & your buyers are singing your praises! At least you're getting sales! The neutral comment you received was a bit immature & snarky. You're going to run into those types now and then. Stay positive, keep on listing and chin up! Just my 2 cents. 😉
Happy Selling!

I think everyone here knows that you meant Neutral feedback but some people just can't resist. Don't worry about the neutral feedback and focus on the positive. The double listing has happened to me a few times and the buyers were very nice about it and the sale was canceled at the buyers request. Hang in there we all have days like this

You, my friend, ARE a Rockstar! You've nailed the answer to this person's dilemma. They should s-l-o-w down and check the details (like proof-reading your post before it's posted). "I got up this more" should have been caught. Plus, there is no "natural" rating; it's NEUTRAL.
In the meantime, they could have 'accidentally' entered "2" in the Quantity Available field - that would account for selling ONE item TWICE.
People - slow down and check what you are writing before you send it. And make sure that you are not the cause of your own problems.
Just my thoughts.

You know I lovey you guys.. Thankyou
I did get dinged. Just took an extra day..

Its not you, its ebay. Just yesterday I noticed a listing I had just made was listed twice when I viewed my active listings page. I only made the listing once.
If you know its not your fault, then why take the fall for it? You should cancel citing problem with buyers address, its not your fault that ebay messed up, don't punish yourself for it. If the buyer is upset, tell them to take it up with ebay, they caused the mess, not you.
