RELISTING

EBAY has lost its mind. First they completely change their format to this new piece of junk and then

they start relisting items automatically for me. Can someone tell me how to get them to stop doing

this? Thanks.

Buy It Now items- auto renew and are listed 30 days GTC (good till canceled). You need to end them 1 day before the 30 days is up to keep them from auto-renewing.

Auction items- not sure if they relist; if they do; end item before auction ends.

Do you have a store?  Do you read any of the selling announcements.  A couple of years ago ebay changed fixed price listings to GTC which means good till canceled.  All fixed price listings relist automatically since 2019.  The only way to prevent it from happening is to either change to auction format listings or quit selling fixed price listings.

Hi, if you are using the app quick listing form, the relisting up to 8 times for auctions is the default setting. To turn it off, see the instructions below.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/relisting-items?id=4147

You can remove automatic relisting from auction style listings in Seller Hub. Here’s how:

  1. Find the Active - opens in new window or tab listing.
  2. Check the box beside the listing.
  3. From Actions, select Remove Automation rules.
  4. Select Remove rule.”

I want eBay to relist my items.  With an inventory of about 1,700 items if I had to manually relist I'd be crunched for time with other selling activities.

It's been happening for years, there is a glitch in the system. Lots of times I only have one of ea item and i find it back up. Now if you have hundreds of items your going to miss a lot. They put me below standard because of this. There's one better, you hit the ended button to see what didn't sell, they are supposed to keep track of that, to only realize many of them were already sold. I've called them at least ten times and they always say the same thing, we never heard this before. Your not crazy, just so you know.

I do occasional checks of my listings by putting them in alphabetical order and looking for duplicates.

I usually find five or six out of between 500 and 1500 listings.

The relisting after sale glitch has been around for decades and eBay refuses to believe it even exists.

"The only way to prevent it from happening is to either change to auction format listings or quit selling fixed price listings."

Or manually end them an hour or so before they end and auto-relist.

All fixed price items listed since back in 2019 are now GTC; this is by design.

Exactly.  I am running over 2900 listings at the moment only because of the extra 10,000 freebies we get since signing up for Managed Payments.
