I have a foreign buyer looking to buy 3 items on which I am willing to combine and discount the shipping. Ordinarily I would walk him through the “request total from seller”. But he tells me he got a red screen that said I do not offer shipping discounts. That is not true.
So he asked if I could just send a coupon for the difference between the cart total and the agreed price.
I see that I can make it a “private coupon” so it is not visible to everyone. It would seem I send him the coupon number and he can apply it to the order to accomplish the discount. But no one else will be aware of it.
Is that correct? Any wrinkles I should be aware of?
