For two days the quick listing tool has been down. Sellers can only use the advanced listing tool to list items, and it takes 4-10x as long to use. It's terribly glitchy across multiple platforms and browsers. As someone who PAYS Ebay every month for a store (not to mention thousands in other various fees, this level of incompetence is simply unbearable. Ebay should issue credits and refunds for this down time. I am losing hundreds of dollars in sales because of this.
If you are implementing a new piece of software, at the very least keep the old one working well.
If you are having the same issue, please reply here. Hopefully it will get to someone with some control of this situation.

As of 5/16/2016 the quick listing tool has been unavailable to some eBay sellers. I was switched to the advanced listing tool in the middle of alisting. I cleared my cookies and it appeared my link to the quick listing tool was back however when I entered a new item title it switches me to the advanced tool. It gives you the option to switch to the quick listing tool however it does not role over...it cycles back to the advanced toolover and over. I called eBay CS and was told there is in fact a glitch to some sellers and they are working on it but they have no idea how long it will be before this is fixed. I do not know how many people this affects but I need the option to upload photos from my smart photo period. Not to mention the advanced listing tool is ridiculously time consuming to work around, the photo upload option is mandatory. Anyone else having this problem really needs to call and complain. We can't go 3-4 days without being able to list.

Why can't you just use the Advanced for now? It's better than not listing at all. Lots of sellers are using it while you sit on your hands wailing about it.
I'm not going to stop listing just because (for whatever reason) they've decided to no longer give me the option for the new picture uploader. I just cuss and plow ahead.

I wonder if they are in the process of switching everyone to the new hub listing tool and faze out the others?
I never used the quick listing tool, but I was just switched to the new hub one a week ago from the advanced listing one. I actually am liking it now after I got the first listing through when I had to reenter all my basic info.

I don't trust or depend on anything that eBay provided. I actually sold more at higher prices where there wasn't all this "HELP" eBay gives.
Turbo Lister has had the fewest number of problems, so I use it an only it for all my listings. It is a small single page form and it's harder to imaging anything faster.
Since I don't trust the eBay image hosting, I also put all images in my description where they are BIG and easy to see.
I do better when eBay gets out of the way.

Oh, I haven't stopped listing things. I'm using it, and that's the problem. The change over has slowed down my work flow to a crawl. It used to take 5 minutes to relist a bunch of items that had ended... now it takes 45. To list a handful of items it used to take 30 minutes... now it takes two and a half hours. Basic things, like uploading pictures, time out. The item description won't switch over from HTML to rich text (the whole page just freezes). When I go to add another shipping service, it freezes.

Yes, that's my guess as well, but in the mean time, the website should at least maintain most of its functionality. What does the new one look like? Could you post a screen shot or two?

Well I just called customer service for an update and I was actually switched to a support team manager. Everyone better hang on because I was told that access to the quick listing tool was removed from store subscribers! Yup so it is not a glitch. They did not notify us they just feel we should be using the advanced tool. It is not our choice. They are looking into a solution because people are complaining. I gave a dicertation regarding the reasons we need it but it would be nice if many people with issues would call and bombard them with complaints. They raised our monthly rate and they made our jobs harder. And we thought we were self employed!!

Well, I have access to the bulk lister now, and it's quite good. It's a nice hybrid of both the quick listing tool and the advanced listing tool. Yet to have any glitches...
I did look into garage sale, but I think I will stick with this for now.

Hi -
As a store subscriber we want to help you maxmize sales. The additional detail we ask for in the advanced listing tool is with the intent of making your listings more discoverable in search and browse. We launched a new version of it this week and it is considerably faster than the old version. Please give it a try, if there is something particularly difficult compared to the quick listing tool please let me know.

Thanks for your reply.
I used the new tool for a few days and was happy with it, but now I'm once again "stuck" using the Advanced tool. Is the new tool down for some reason?
I understand filling in all the information helps with SEO, but for some things we sell, it's just not worth the time/ effort to fill in all these details. The new tool seemed to have struck a good balance (except fo the need to click "does not apply" for UPC/ MPN).
