Questions for those who use Seller Ledger

I am considering switching from using a spreadsheet to track my eBay business to using an avaiable software package. I tried Flipwise but I did not like it (and it seems to be pricey at $40 a month).  I only use eBay so handling multiple platforms is no a priority.

I am now considering Seller Ledger. I watched the online video and it looks ok but I still have questions:

#1 - The video showed integrating with credit cards and bacnk accounts to pull in info on COGS and expenses. Can I also manaully add the COGS for each item listed? For example if I pay $20 cash at a yard sale for an item and list it, I assume that I can manually add the $20 - correct?

#2 - Does Seller Ledger integrate with Pirate Ship for shipping costs to pull the shipping cost in for each indiviaul item listed?  I swtiched to Pirate Ship for shipping my eBay items  as I find that it has features that make shipping much easirer as compared to buying labels from eBay.

#3 - Can I download all of the seller ledger data in CSV format for excel (as can be done with eBay)?

#4 - How does Seller Ledger handle returns/relisted items and partial refunds (for example, combined shipping refunds)?

Well that would be a GREAT clue that they are NOT the right program for you.

Questions for those who use Seller Ledger

Hi, this is Kevin, founder at Seller Ledger. I'll do my best to answer your questions. And anyone is free to contact us as support@sellerledger.com - our product team handles all questions.

1. Yes, you can manually record the cost of something you purchased for cash. On the Inventory -> Sold page, click to "Add costs" next to the item that sold, choose "New inventory" and enter the details of purchase.

2. Unfortunately, we do not, because Pirate Ship doesn't have an API (https://support.pirateship.com/en/articles/2309246-does-pirate-ship-have-an-api.) If they ever add one, they would be high on our list. Right now, most folks get their Pirate Ship costs from the credit card/bank account where the charges show up.

3. You sure can - we just added that in time for this tax season: https://sellerledger.com/export-seller-ledger-data/

4. This one I might need to dig in a bit more based on an example. If you want to email in, I'd be happy to take a look.

I hope this helps. If the responses are unwelcome, I apologize. But thanks to the group for the heads up that we don't make the customer support email obvious on the marketing site. Adding it now:)

Questions for those who use Seller Ledger

@knifeaholic

I am also considering Seller Ledger and most of my questions have been answered in this thread.

But did you get an answer from them on how they handle returns, relists, and partial refunds?

Questions for those who use Seller Ledger

Hi;  I'm a bit late on this reply, but no, never got an answer.  I kind of forgot about the whole idea for awhile.  I had tried another software called Flipwise, and it was good in many respects; but it did not handle retunrs/refunds at all so not something I can use.
