An item of mine has just sold for full price to a buyer whose location is listed as Hong Kong. When the shipping information came through and I did a reverse search, I found that the item is supposed to be sent to a Mailboxes Etc type shipping place. Do I have anything to worry about? Do you think this person buys from Hong Kong, has it shipped within the US and has someone else forward it on to her and is that. I’m in?She paid with PayPal. Can any funny business happen with the money - or, am I safe as long as it shows as received in my account? Thanks so much. You can see I don’t have much selling experience and I appreciate your experience.

This is usually not a problem. Make sure the money is actually in your PayPal. Check the buyers feedback to see if they are a regular buyer. Most of these types of sales go withot a problem.

The risk is the same with all International Buyers...SNAD. Simple, fast and 100% success rate. Refund partially or in full, or pay for the return shipping. If the item isn't valuable, give it a shot. If it is something that is worth money to you, then you should read up on the MBG it isn't geared to protect you as the seller.

Is the ship to address in the US? If they reship you are only responsible to show tracking to that adress to be covered. After that it is the buyers problem

The last six months, for whatever reason I haven't had a problem with international shipping or with drop boxes. Just lucky I guess.

Morty, I just took your advice and wrote the buyer to say that she must keep in mind that the item is used and 60 years old. I sent her five close up photos and pointed out the wear here .. here .. and here. Does that give me any protection from SNAD or doesn’t it matter?
thanks

No.
Buyer is using a freight forwarder in the US to ship their items internationally.
OP's liability ends with tracking showing delivery to the addy on the payment, which is much LESS risk than if the seller shipped interntionally.
Returns are on the freight forwarder, not the seller.
Of course the MBG doesn't protect the seller - it's buyer protection!
