I have not used ebay much in the last year. I just had several Good Until Canceled listings up that weren't selling, so I ended those listings a few months ago. I am now in the process of revising those and relisting them. I'm also trying to get back up the speed on recent changes like the new seller hub, fee increases, etc.
Anyway, I finished my first revision and relisted a single item to work out any kinks before digging into the rest of them. About an hour later I checked to see how it looked when searching and it wasn't showing up. It wasn't even showing up when I tried to plug the item number directly into the search.
After another couple of hours of pulling my hair trying various things to get it to show up, I finally took out the option of showing the Featured Refinements in my item specifics. A little info icon had suggested I add it when I was creating the listing. My listing then showed up on the search within 5 minutes of taking that out.
The option to show featured refinements in item specifics is something new to me. Does it generally take a much longer time to update the search when you include that in a listing? It seems weird to me that I couldn't even find my listing by the item number. I don't think I am missing out on anything by leaving it out, but I was just curious why it was taking so long or do you think that was just a glitch?

This option allows you to add more verbiage to your search. For example if you are selling a 'matchbox car in package hot rod series 3 of 10', ebay may suggest to add the refinement 'limited edition hot wheels #1' so when somebody searches for that, it also pulls up your listing with the results. Make sure you double check the suggestion if you choose to use this because it is newer the algorithm is not wonderful but it is a start. Hope that helps.
