Question about Make an offer

Hi,

Is a seller dinged in any way if they close a buy it now that a counteroffer was submitted for early?

This morning a lowball offer came in on an item on one of my accounts. I countered a reasonable compromise immediately after the offer came in, no response so far.

I cross post some items on other platforms, especially right now with sales here for me very slow. I have a better offer on another site. Can I end this listing from low baller, even though it's only been 10-12 hours and not 3 days or will I get a strike, ding, hickie or the cooties from master ebay for ending?

Thanks!

Re: Question about Make an offer

There will be no penalties of any type when you end the listing early.  The defects, fees, and other horrors only happen if you cancel an actual transaction.  Neither of you has accepted an offer or counteroffer, and the listing is still live, so there is no transaction and you can end it risk-free.
