Question about Computation of Sales for Seller Metrics:

Each sale (each sale of a separate item with a separate item number ) is supposed to count as one sale when used to compute seller metrics, that is, number of sales within a given period in relation to the number of NADs, INRs,

    etc. received by that seller.

      Is this right?  Or not?

When a seller has sold several items (with different item numbers) to the same buyer in quick succession,  those several sales appear as one sale on the seller's Orders page.

Does that mean the seller only gets credited with one sale. when his number of sales is used to compute his Seller Metric?

  Does anyone know?

Where did you get the information that each item is "supposed" to be counted separately?

All the seller metrics documentation I have seen is very specific to use the word "transaction", not "item" or "sale".

When a buyer purchases five items and pays for them with the same payment, I'm pretty sure that is one transaction.

Question about Computation of Sales for Seller Metrics:

Thanks for clarifying that.
If a buyer buys e.g three items (each with a different item number
) from the same seller at intervals over a one or two-day period, and those items are then sent out in the same package using bulk shipping,
does that count as one transaction of three? For service metrics?

Question about Computation of Sales for Seller Metrics:

Do items sent out together to a buyer using bulk shipping count as one transaction?
If they were paid for at different times.

Question about Computation of Sales for Seller Metrics:

You would probably have to ask ebay what numbers they use and how they use/calculate them to arrive at the numbers they use for seller metrics.  More than likely, they are the only ones that can readily - if they choose to - answer your question(s) with any accuracy.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

Question about Computation of Sales for Seller Metrics:

When you sell several items, they are each a transaction recognized by Ebay.

You are confusing a transaction with a sale.  You can have one transaction make up a sale or you could have several transactions make up a sale.

I believe you are talking about Dashboard numbers.  Which if you go and spend some time with your Dashboard, you would see the answers to many of your questions and concerns.  In some areas there are places to click to get more information.  Just spend some time getting familiar with your Dashboard and I think you will resolve all of this for yourself.
