Does promotions help my store?

It probably depends on what you are selling.

It all depends on if you have items that many other sellers also sell. I would say most likely no, and you would waste money. Promotions actually does very little as it is really just a search function on "best match". Most buyers do not use best match.

     As others have already mentioned it is difficult to say and even worse it is impossible to prove whether PL helps sales or if the same item would have sold generically without using PL. One thing is for sure it will cost you to use PL. Best to read and understand how the PL fees are applied and determine the impact to your profit margin. You may need to increase prices to cover the PL.

In our experience, yes. It increases sales.

But is the promoted listing fee worth it? Does it cover a price that makes it worth it? Maybe, sometimes.

Luckily, we have enough of a mark up on a lot of our items that we can afford to lose a couple bucks here and there.
