About two months back, I received a promotion that stated, "upgrade to the next level store and get charged what your paying now for 2 months." I have the 27 dollar a month store, so 250 fixed price and 250 auction listings. The next level is the 1000 fixed price and (I believe) 500 auction. I believed this to be a super cool deal.
However, I had reservations because I thought if something goes wrong, I was going to be charged more. So, I called ebay and double checked the deal with the represenative. At first, the repesantive didn't even no about the deal. In fact, he had to go into my email account, on his end, and read the email. After reading the email, he confirmed what I believed, no new fees and everything would remain the same. Neverthless, at the end of the call, I told him, I still had reservations and thought this was going to come back and bite me somehow (this was recorded).
A month later, I recieve my bill. Low and behold, EBay is charging me 60ish dollars for having the store level above mine. I call ebay, the representative has no clue what I'm talking about. She tells me I'm being charge the prorated amount for the store above mine for the month I ugraded and a new first and last month for downgrading. Truthfully, i have no clue what she is talking about. After going around in circles, she gives me a 8 dollar refund for the prorated amount, but tells me I need to pay a new first and last month, which still makes no since. Nevertheless, I take the 8 dollars, something is better than nothing. But, EBay is still DOUBLE charging me. As the promotion stated, I should never have been charged more than the 27 dollars I was paying. My bill should have remained 27 dollars.
Is there anyone with ebay billing that understands there company's promotions that can help me??? Talking to their representives on the phone is pointless and a waste of time. These calls were recorded and I believe should be listen to.
Also, anyone that took part in this deal should DOUBLE CHECK their invoice.
