Promoting

why does eBay lie? . When they have access to taking your money. They will do so and expect you not to notice or ask questions. You have to ACCEPT THEM STEALING

when promoting on other sites they adhere to the limits. If you choose 10$ … YOU PAY 10$

On eBay. SINCE YOUR SELLING BALANCE IS ON EBAY. THEY GO OVER THE LIMITS !!!!!

YOU PUT AND AGREE WITH EBAY FOR!!!!

it’s set 10$ a day. If they charge 1.33. The 8 freaking clicks it is.  You stop. 🛑

you don’t continue until w.e it feels like

Re: Promoting

I have no personal experience with this type of promotion but if the cap is $10 per day then the 23rd & 24th are two days and the cap would be $20.

Re: Promoting

Just trying to understand....it looks like your 'daily' budget was $10.00, and the campaign was for 2 days?

(Maximum Payment $20.00)

Re: Promoting

Promoted Stores cost per click ads use monthly budget pacing with a "target" daily budget - that means it can go up to double your daily budget on some days, less on others, with the idea it will average out over a 30.4 day period.

  • This means your campaigns will optimize spending over a calendar month, without exceeding 30.4 times your target daily budget. On any given day, you could spend less than your target daily budget, or up to double the highest target daily budget in effect on that day.
  • If your campaign hits its daily spend limit, which can be up to double the target daily budget, it will pause showing ads until the budget window resets the next day. Spending won't always reach double the daily budget, as it varies based on factors like traffic and competition. However, if you increase the target daily budget for a campaign marked as "Limited by budget," your ads will be eligible to appear again.

So yes, it's totally possible and "working as intended/advertised" if you have a day go up to $20 even though your "target" was set for $10/day because that's the way these ads work.

Re: Promoting

tko,

My reply will address business in general. Last month I entered my 64th year of self-employment. I quickly learned back in the 60s, that misunderstandings and errors were more easily dealt with by not referring to others as liars and implying you are a victim of their theft.

Re: Promoting

No. It’s until the 26th.

I was charged the $19 for just 1 day. Which was on the 24th. 25th makes it day 2 tomorrow will be the same or higher. Because they don’t follow the budget. It’s w.e they want.

and this isn’t the pay per clicks. This is actually the option for just 10$ a day. No pay per clicks bids nothing like that , and if it was.  10$ is the cut off so it should stop or calculate itself to stay under the limit.

Re: Promoting

No this is for just 1 day. The 24th.

is started this late into the 23rd at 11pm

so it would only be 1 hour on 23rd.

this 19$ is over budget for 1 day. As it’s set to $10 per day.

Re: Promoting

@tko.pokemon  Promoted Stores is a pay per click/cost per click option. Look at your own screenshots, that's what CPC means - Cost Per Click.

You really need to read the actual policy and help pages about how these ads work, including the fact that eBay can go up to double your daily "target" on some days while other days it may be less than your "target" daily budget, averaging out across the length of the campaign.

What you are showing is exactly how these ads are supposed to work - the $19.97 you were charged for one day is still within the "up to double" your "target budget (your target was set to $10/day, which means "up to double" would be $20).

From the help page I linked to above, here's eBay's example for what happens if you start a campaign sometime after the first of the month and it's scheduled to end before the end of the month:

How is my monthly spend determined if my campaign starts during the month?

If your campaign launches mid-month, your total monthly spend (for the partial month) will not exceed your target daily budget multiplied by the remaining days in the calendar month, including the start day.

  • For example: If you start a new campaign with a $10 target daily budget on January 15th, there are 17 days left in the month (including the 15th & 31st). Therefore, the maximum spend for the remainder of the month would be $170 ($10×17 remaining days).

How is my monthly spend determined if my campaign ends during the month?

If your campaign has an end date scheduled in the middle of the month, your total monthly spend won't exceed your target daily budget multiplied by the number of days from the start date to the end date, unless you end the campaign prior to the originally scheduled date.

  • For example: If your campaign starts on the 1st with a $100 daily budget and is set to end on the 15th of the month, the maximum spend for the month would be $1,500 ($100×15 days, including the 15th).

You have a campaign that started on December 23rd and is scheduled through the 26th - that's 4 days at a target daily budget of $10 per day for a total campaign budget of $40.

With the way these ads work, that $40 can be averaged out over those 4 days with the ability to go as high as $20 on any given day.

Just for one possible example that could end up being something like $10 on one day, $20 on the next day, $5 on the 3rd day and $5 on the 4th day.

But it could also be something like $15 on day 1, $20 on day 2, $5 on day 3 and then on day 4 eBay would tell you your campaign budget has been depleted and recommend to increase the budget if you want to keep the ads being served for the full scheduled time period.

If you don't understand how this works, I would highly recommend to end that campaign now and not use Promoted Stores, Promoted Listings Priority, or Offsite ads again in the future unless/until you fully understand how eBay bills cost per click ads and whether they are worth it for your particular business.

Re: Promoting

You don't appear to have had anything listed for a very long time. Can you provide a link to the store you are actually talking about?

You do not have to accept ebay stealing from you.

You may stop selling at any time.

@tko.pokemon

How come some times you put the dollar sign in front of the number and some times you put the dollar sign after the number? Just curious.
