Last night one of my promoted listings sold! Yay! Would it have sold even if it wasn't promoted? .. I do not know, there's no way to know for sure. However, since it is a promoted listing and I am a TRS ($30 coupon) my question is: Will I be charged on this month's invoice but credited back next month? That's the way I understand it .. anyone more familiar?
Thank you!

Pardon me, quartely credit. Regardless monthly or quarterly I will only use it if I am getting it for free with the coupon. I will never pay out of pocket for this feature.

You're right. It doesn't sound like much. I do think the program will pan, but it won't be for the small sellers.

I think I read in the details that it is available to most sellers, except some guy named mr_lincoln. 🙂

A question just occured to me and can't find the answer anywhere and hoping someone else may know, if not I will have to call CS and hope I get someone knowledgable.
Anyway, the $30 credit to TRS -- does that have to be a TRS+ listing or as long as you are TRS you get the $30 worth of refund?

It does not have to be TRS+.

I just got a credit today on my account for a promoted sale from June 6th.

Great! Question Fern -- The $30 credit is only used up when a sale is made, yes? In other words if I have 5 listings and only 1 sale. I can continue to relist the other 4 as a promoted listing over and over and I lose no money. Money only comes off the $30 when there's a sale?

Yes. Specifically, a sale that's made when the buyer goes through the promotional ad. If you make a sale to someone who simply browsed a category or used eBay's search engine to find the item, there's no fee.

Has anyone received their $30 promoted listing credit? If so, where do you see this credit in your invoice. I've sold several items using te promoted listing, but don't know whether or not I've received the credit. I realize you will see it in the following month, but I don't see that credit...but maybe it's hidden somewhere.

Seems to be a good program to give TRS benefits that they deserve. Other than that, I don't think it's going to drive a whole ton of revenue. Who knows, though? Not me! 🙂
I started promotions a few months ago and up to today I have made 235 transactions from the promoted listings. You have to work with them a bit to find your sweet spot and do not be afraid to raise your promoted listing FVF. I increased mine and added some of that extra cost to the regular selling price and it seemed to jump start my promoted listing sales.
Good Luck Selling!
don't buy for a second promoted listings made a difference.
your items sold because they would have sold anyway.
when i list something rare, desirable, in demand...
sells every time...
perhaps not for as much money i would have hoped for but they all sell.
i really doubt promoted listing would make any difference with the "stuff" i have been relisting for months to even longer.
but i will look into it.
you never know.
don't know how it works but will not use it for items that i know will sell.
will use for long shot items if that is possible.
