Hi, how do I promote my listing so that it can sell quicker? and do I have to extra to do this.
I have removed one of my listing from eBay because it has been there for almost a year and edited it and reposted it. Was not sure what to code when asked why I am ending the list. I said it was no longer available, but when l repost it ebay said. "you said the item was no longer available.
Have I done something wrong?

When you promote item you decide what percentage you want to pay (this is on top of your regular final value fees). If you promote item you will get more exposure but there is no guarantee your item will sell (item must be priced correctly and something that customers want).

I do not think you did anything wrong. It is just ebay being ebay...difficult. If you just tried re listing an item, try listing it as "sell similar" or start a new listing.

When one says that the 'listing is no longer available', ebay wonders/doesn't know if you tried to sell it 'on the side' and they didn't get their cut or what happened. When you go to relist it, after saying no longer available, it makes them wonder more if it is just because a 'sale on the side' didn't work out and now you want to relist it. When an item is 'promoted', ebay gets a bigger cut - 1%-20% depending on what you choose - so they get even more suspicious.
