Could y'all do me favor?
Search for "Lenox Glories on Grey Salad Plate" and tell me what the product page shows you? For some reason, I can't get the product page to show.
Why, you ask?
I got a message from a buyer last night. She wanted to know where the other 3 plates were for the set of 4 that she bought. She only got 1 plate.
My listing is for one plate (multi-qty). It has a picture of one plate. The Title does not even hint that the listing is for more than one. The first line of the description says "One (1) Salad Plate ..."
I am at a loss to figure out how the buyer got "set of 4" out of my listing, unless she clicked on a product page that showed a set of 4 😞

@penguins_dont_fly, when I search for "Lenox Glories on Grey Salad Plate" I don't get a product page, I get this: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=%22Lenox+Glories+on+Grey+Salad+Pla...
I looked at your listing and the rest of them that are out there. While there are other sellers who are offering 2,3, 4, or more plates as a lot, your listing clearly indicates you're offering one plate, with additional quantities available, if desired.
So not sure why your buyer thinks she was buying four. IMO, your listing couldn't be any more explicit.

AGree with Livadia........... I've had a customer get mixed up on what page she was on and "think" she was buying one thing, rather than a similar one. Only other thing I can think of is she "thinks" she hit 4 in the quantity....

I just had the same thing happen on Amazon, with a customer named Claudia. This was 5 weeks after she received my plate. That was my only saving grace. It's either a case of a very ignorant person, or more likely, someone trying to keep a plate for free.
I didn't get a product page when I searched here. I got seperate listings.

She said in her message that "she selected 1 because she read it as a set of 4"
😞

I don't think that she is ignorant or scamming in any way.
She's fairly new, with 6 feedback (one from me) and she seemed genuinely confused. She is well spoken, and isn't giving me any "vibes" (y'all know what I mean LOL)
I'm trying to be gentle with her in my messaging 🙂
I asked her last night if she might have my listing confused with another. This morning, I started to wonder about product pages, which is where we are now 🙂

Per the link provided by @tiramisu41, the listing shows 1 plate. This is a multi quantity listing of a similar product. At 19.00 each (inclusive of shipping).
Description is clear. No set of 4 plates mentioned.
Am viewing the listing on iPhone 7.

If you get to the product page from a Google search- your ad is not even included on the product page I saw....even with a recent sale from a multi-quantity listing.
I see 27 listings using the ebay search and only 5 or 6 are shown on the Google linked product page. So- the product page LIES when it says "All Listings For This Product". That stinks!

I've come at this from all different directions.
Yahoo and Bing only show RL's listings ... Google Shopping doesn't show any eBay listings ....and like you said, the regular Google search eBay product page gives their "best pick" and only 5 others ... none of which is a set of 4 ... or mine 😞
I've tried browsing the category from the homepage ... where "Glories on Grey" is apparently not a Lenox pattern that you can select ... even though I have the "pattern" item specific filled in 😞
I've searched using the Android app.
Nothing gives me a set of 4 ...
Oh well ... I haven't heard back from her since last night. I guess it's just wait and see now 😞 I hate this ... I don't like having disappointed buyers, especially new ones ... even if they are confused ...

Very clear the listing is for 1 plate.
I actually stopped using the word 'set' in my listings. I say 'Lot' .
A few years ago, a couple of sellers reported here that buyers were expecting refunds for entire 'sets' if one item got broke in shipping. After all, if you have a set of 4, and one gets broken, it's no longer a complete 'set' right? <Roll eyes>.
Not even sure that would cover you these days, @moo*cow*corner. There's another thread on the forum running right now where I guy sold a lot of 6 memory sticks. Apparently, one of the sticks was faulty. He offered to refund the buyer for the faulty stick, buyer declined, filed a SNAD, and was refunded the entire amount by eBay. Seller contacted eBay to try and address the issue and was told "we don't know how to handle partial SNAD cases so a full refund is the only option." ;(

I saw that. Not panicky yet, but getting there. LOL! Partial refunds are my go to option for a bad apple in a bunch.
I haven't had any breakage for at least a year, so that's good. Currently pondering possible options while I sort loot from yesterday's thrift store shopping. That thread might be worth a spin-off....but don't want to derail this one.

Of course ... I spoke too soon about not hearing from her.
As soon as I hit "post", the bbblllliiinnng came through.
She "may have mixed up" my listing with someone else's so she "will be returning it for a full refund" because she isn't looking to pay that much for one plate 😞
😞

Aww, that's a bummer.
Hope it survives the return journey!
Returns in this category are THE WORST because very few buyers will repack the items as carefully. It's rare that I get a return shipment with all items intact.
You know what's sad ... besides me taking a loss on free returns???
She will end up paying almost the same amount for that set of 4 with calculated shipping, since I offer automatic discounts for multiple item purchases.
Oh well.
