Could y'all do me favor?
Search for "Lenox Glories on Grey Salad Plate" and tell me what the product page shows you? For some reason, I can't get the product page to show.
Why, you ask?
I got a message from a buyer last night. She wanted to know where the other 3 plates were for the set of 4 that she bought. She only got 1 plate.
My listing is for one plate (multi-qty). It has a picture of one plate. The Title does not even hint that the listing is for more than one. The first line of the description says "One (1) Salad Plate ..."
I am at a loss to figure out how the buyer got "set of 4" out of my listing, unless she clicked on a product page that showed a set of 4 😞

Aww, that's a bummer.
Hope it survives the return journey!
Returns in this category are THE WORST because very few buyers will repack the items as carefully. It's rare that I get a return shipment with all items intact. You know what's sad ... besides me taking a loss on free returns???
She will end up paying almost the same amount for that set of 4 with calculated shipping, since I offer automatic discounts for multiple item purchases.
Oh well.
I know, right? Some folks just don't want to take the time or spend the effort to do the actual math.
I'm waiting to hear from a buyer who bought plates for a mosaic project. She requested minimal packaging, not caring if some get broken, saying it will actually save her some work. This one has the potential to be a doozy if it goes sideways.
I've sent plates to their certain doom before, but not in quite awhile. I couldn't NOT use at least some bubblewrap! I just couldn't do it. I told her I had to at least try to appease the pottery deities. LOL!
Lots of craziness on ebay this summer. Hoping that things return to a bit more normal level come fall dinnerware season!

If that's the case @penguins_dont_fly, why don't you message her back, tell her you do have additional plates available, "lay out the math" and suggest she just get three more from you?

LOL.. I know the feeling @moo*cow*corner! And then there are those who can't understand why shipping and/or handling costs "X" amount. Do they think boxes, tape, bubble pack, labels, etc. are free?

I did that with my reply last night.
I told her that I still had 7 in stock, that she could purchase the other 3 and get the automatic discount.
But ... que sera, sera. I doubt anything I say now will convince her...and will probably end up confusing the issue even more. I really don't want to give her any reason to believe that I am somehow "covering up" something unpleasant by begging her to buy the other 3 or offering discounts.
I'm not going to sweat it. It will come back and I'll revise the listing back up 1 ... I was due for my second return this year anyway ... LOL ... one every six months (2 per year) is my average 🙂

I always try to appease Porcelania and Sir Ramick with offerings of Styrofoam and bubble. They can be very fickle deities, indeed:)

Oh well.
I would also add her to the block buyer list (even though it is meaningless these days) - Wouldn't want her to "re-purchase a set of 4" one at a time when she has already returned one to you!

My BBL is for egregious behavior.
Making a mistake and being polite about it is not a BBL offense, to me. I offer returns and she is returning the plate with the reason "changed my mind".
She's new. She may, at some point, want something else that I have listed (or, indeed, more of these plates). Why would I want to block her?
