Hi!
i have tried several times this week to combine shipping on buy it now items, asked a few sellers how to do it and have been given the same answer (buy it now but DON’T pay, wait for an invoice etc) but each time I click on items, click confirm and pay and get an immediate “thank you, your order has been placed” message. It completely bypassed the part where I choose my payment method! I’ve tried a few different things including going direct through the website rather than the app, I’ve googled it and found repeatedly that people suggest “click on the (request total from seller!) button in the top right corner!” Which I’m sure is very helpful except that there IS no button!
i haven’t used eBay for multiple buys in a really long time until I started again in June But you used to be able to do this. Looking on google it seems this has been a problem for a good few years that is still a problem now.
I’ve also noticed a LOT of sellers with ridiculous postage prices on their items, for example a $21 postal charge on a $1 trading card (I’m British but this seems to be a problem with American sellers) and I’ve been hit hard with postal costs because there is no way around it.
is there a way around it? It’s massively frustrating!

Instead of clicking on buy it now, click on Add to Cart If the seller has already set up combined shipping there is no need to ask for a total. But if they haven’t done that, the cart DOES has a request total Button on the top right. However, if some items in the cart have free shipping, are on sale, if the seller requires immediate payment OR If you are using the mobile app, that button will not be seen Or it will be greyed out and not clickable.

some sellers will use a very high shipping cost in case a buyer wants a refund. If/when that occurs, seller only needs to refund that $1, and tell the buyer to keep the item.
