Pricing weird stuff with no history?

IMG_2930.jpegHow/where can I find comps for something like this??  I don’t even know what category they would, legitimately, go in since they’re at least 14 years old and were marketed as souvenirs at the time of the actual wedding.  I found one listing for an opened box from Meghan & Harry’s wedding, but nothing for Kate & William…

I realize this may not even be the right board for this post, but I am not sure which one is.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is why they must be listed under the Collectibles category, not the condoms category, with a disclaimer the product is not intended for use.

Yep, and you don't even have to go to the UK site to find that out. General info for anybody that may not be aware - there's (in my opinion) a great feature of the Product Research tool where you can use the filter on the top right to switch eBay sites and with a single click change your search results from US to UK or any other eBay site to view both active and sold listings.

There were lots of tchotchkes that came out with Kate and William's wedding (I have the tea tin). I would ask here.

Thank you! I can't find anything anywhere on these things, just articles about them and photos.

Hopefully the mods will move the thread for me.

Well, here is one sale (from Research / Terapeak).  There are plenty of other kinds of novelty condoms for sale in various categories on eBay.

According to the Product Research tool, the one sold result from the last 3 years was listed under:

Collectibles > Historical Memorabilia > Royalty Collectibles

As shown above, it sold for $10 free ship and the listing was for 1 box.

There are no currently active listings matching the search keywords kate william condoms

There is one active listing matching megan harry condoms which is listed under the same Royalty Collectibles category noted above.

Hope that helps @tarotfindsandmore .

If you have no comps, you need no comps.

The item is uncommon enough that you should price it at what you believe a British Royalty collector will pay or offer it an as an auction and set the starting bid at a price which would make you happy but not ecstatic.

…and three of these thingies are for sale on eBay’s UK site for 20 to 30 pounds a pack, roughly.  One of the boxes has been opened, and you can see that those particular ones have expiration dates of “2015/05”, so you may have an unhappy purchaser when he attempts to use said item.

I can't see the price on Worth Point.  I think I will go with the UK prices and make sure to list them as a collectible.  The one comp on here is two years old, and the Meghan & Harry opened pack currently listed is 37 bucks.

This particular item is waaaaaay out of my wheelhouse.  I'm not a fan, or a foe for that matter, of the royal family and I wouldn't have even picked them up but for the fact that someone here in the US asked me to and then promptly forgot.  Mostly, that wedding was just a bit of disruption and kind of inconvenient.
