Power Seller Status

My account was upgraded to Top Rated yesterday, however, I am pretty sure I meet the requirements for Power Seller, who do I talk to have this looked at again?  Can't seem to find any help.  If I call eBay, they just tell me they can't see that information on their end.

Power Seller Status

Your feedback page shows that you ARE a Top Rated Seller, which is different from being a Powerseller.

Neither of those statuses shows up  on a seller's listings pages. The only special status that shows on listings is Top Rated Plus, which will show up on a listing if it has same-day or 1-day handling, and offers free (i.e., seller pays) 30-day returns.  I checked one of your listings and it says that you don't offer returns, which would be why the TR-Plus badge doesn't show on that listing.

Power Seller Status

I just upgraded to both yesterday--congrats on the Top Rated bump!!! I just checked the requirements for Power Seller, and it notes that a seller has to have 100 transactions for over $3000. Looking at your sold items, you definitely have the $3000 part covered, but it only shows 51 sales.  I'm definitely no expert on this stuff (I was confused about my own status yesterday...lol), but I think the number of transactions might be the issue.  Hope this helps.

This information is in the Help pages...

Becoming a PowerSeller

PowerSellers are among the most successful sellers on eBay in product sales and customer satisfaction. If you qualify, you'll automatically become a PowerSeller. Simply check your Seller Dashboard to see if you've achieved PowerSeller status. PowerSeller levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium depending on the number of items you've sold or the dollar amount of your sales.

If you're not a PowerSeller yet, you can always work your way up by meeting these requirements:

  • Have an eBay account in good standing that's been active for at least 90 days.
  • Follow all eBay policies.
  • Maintain a positive feedback score of 98% or higher.
  • Have a minimum of 100 transactions and $3,000 in sales with US buyers over the past 12 months.

Note: If you qualify, you'll automatically become a PowerSeller.

I am pretty sure I meet the requirements for Power Seller,

I did not know that eBay still had that designation.  I really doesn't matter for their are no benefits that come with that anyway.

When it first started, there were a few perks, but those were discontinued long ago.  Actually, the only thing it really meant was that you sold a lot of stuff.  It had nothing to do with the quality of your merchandise or your customer service.   Back then, some of  the biggest "power sellers" had the worst feedback reputations anyway.  Many sellers even requested that the PowerSeller Dog Badge NOT be displayed on their listings.

you should be proud of your success, its much more important to be top rated than a power seller.I think that ebay has stated that 25 % of sellers make it to that level

I used to be a titanium seller back in my best years but I do not really pay attention to it anymore

keep on selling

For the Bronze Power seller status you must sell within one year $3000 worth in 100 or more transactions.

For silver it's $30,000 not sure on the transactions.

There's also gold and platinum levels.

Yes yes yes.

TRS: Have at least 100 transactions and $1,000 in sales with US buyers over the past 12 months

PowerSeller:  Have a minimum of 100 transactions and $3,000 in sales with US buyers over the past 12 months.

The only benefit that Power Sellers get is that buyers have to wait 7 days before leaving non-positive feedback.

And ... you can read and post in the Power Seller forums:

All other perks and benefits are due to TRS status.

Why is it no one responds to your question well most . Power seller badge has been discontinued . Even the Power Sellers Group is gone .Now it is named the Experienced Sellers group . You should receive an invitation to join once you make (qualify ) . Bronze is $3000 per month for three months consecutive , then silver is $10000 per month for three months and Gold is 100000 per month for three consecutive months .  I am basing this on what I was selling when I was a power seller . I did receive a badge for being a power seller .I am going on memory so I may not have been any help .

Yes it sucks ,7 years I have been top rated and the same thing has happened several times . Look at your options if this is important to you or if you do not mind not receiving what you have earned then just stay on and be very bitter as am I .

Power sellers receive listing upgrades free of charge as well as premium customer support .I cannot recall the other benefits but there were others . All I receive now is 10% off my final value fees which bites .8 year's ago you received 25% off your selling fees period .
