HI there,
I have a question regarding negative feedback...I have only sold a few things since I have been using ebay. Would the feedback also affect me as a buyer also?

Buyers can only receive positive feedback. If you're the type of buyer that likes to leave negs for seller's, you might find yourself blocked.

Your feedback is the same whether you buy or sell. Bad feedback happens but it should not affect you. The only time you might have issues is if you leave a lot of negative feedback when you buy, some sellers get testy and might cancel your bids or worry about you.
And as a seller, too much bad feedback might have an effect on selling as it might scare away some buyers.

Not exactly. Buyers can not get negative FB under any circumstance. And if a seller leaves positive FB but with a negative comment, the buyer just needs to contact Ebay and they will remove it.

Of course you can't get negative feedback when you buy.. .I did not say you could DUH
I've been selling for almost 22 years. I am not stupid. I don't need my posts corrected.
But your feedback profile is the same profile whether you buy or sell on that account. That does not change.
SMH..

Hi, @peter71520 let's see if I can answer your question. If you buy and sell on the same account, your feedback score will reflect both activities.
But you should know that negative feedback for sellers no longer affects the seller metrics that eBay uses to evaluate sellers' performance. The main way the negative feedback might hurt a seller is if said seller leaves a poor follow-up remark that reflects badly on him. Or a negative might cause a buyer to hesitate purchasing something from that seller. But a professionally worded response a seller makes to a negative rating has the potential to overshadow the buyer's remark and earn the respect of potential new customers.
As a buyer, the negative someone left you as a seller will NOT affect your buying privileges.

The highlighted statement is why I responded the way I did in my earlier posting.
