Do the current promotions (I have 3 of them right now!) include
Auctions WITH Buy-IT-Now?
I tested it by trying one, and no fee came up, but want to make sure.
Thanks
Have a store…promotions look like this...
<<<List FREE - 200 auction-style or fixed priced listings>>>
<<<List FREE - 50,000 auction-style or fixed priced listings>>>

I have been running auctions with Buy It Now and they are coming off of the 200 free promotion. My 50,000 offer is for fixed price listings only.

Each promo has their own requirements. Not all are created equal. From the email you received for the promotion you can read what the eligibility is for you and the listings are.
Also on the Seller Hub in the Promotional Offer's box you can see the promos that currently apply to your account. There is a statement that is in blue you can click on for each promo. It will take you to the eligibility and requirement of that specific promo.

There can be different promos out at the same time. So best thing is to READ the one you get........
From this:
List FREE - 200 auction-style or fixed priced listings>>>
Sounds like auctions are covered, but read ALL the info, as there could be category exclusions.........or they may NOT include the optional Buy it now for auctions........

I've read, but can't find where it addresses adding buy-it-now to auctions…if that is included for free.

List one then check your account summary page and see if you get charged for the buy it now addition.

You don't have to do that. At the bottom of the listing you have created on Ebay, just above the post button, it will tell you EXACTLY what your listings fees are.
On the 200 free listings, it says.
From reading what the promo rules are it seems clear that auctions are fine as long as you are running them for longer than 3 days.
What is the Promotion?
Members who activate the offer and then create a listing, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein (“Qualifying Listing”), will pay no insertion fee per item for up to 200 listings during the Promotion Period (the "Promotion").
All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply, and may prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings in this Promotion. The Promotion is in addition to the free listings per month as part of the everyday rate plan.
The Promotion excludes auction-style listings with a 1-day or 3-day duration. Final value fees will be applied to the total amount of the sale. The total amount of the sale is the amount the buyer pays, including any shipping and handling charges. Sales tax is not included in the calculation. Fees for optional listing upgrades (such as reserve price, Gallery Plus, listing in 2 categories, etc.) still apply.

The promotion I received only shows exclusion of 1 day or 3 day duration auctions. I read that to mean all other listing formats are free.

You just need to visit the Seller Hub and you can find the information you want. Below is a pic of the box in the seller hub. Each of the promos are somewhat defined in their titles and then if you click on the blue words which are a link you can get the specifics.
The title of the 200 free says auctions in it. In the specific requirement of the promo it says not for auction that are 3 days or under.

The buy it now price is an ADDITIONAL FEE to a regular auction. Its an additional .05 to add a buy it now to an auction.
He'll get the Auction listing fee waived with the promo... what he want's to know is if the buy it now fee is being waived as well. And it's not stated in the promo. Only way to know is to list one then check that page to see if the fee is there OR get some one from eBay to read the thread and answer him.
Edited to fix typo's

I know. I'm just encouraging people to actually read the promotion requirements. It is readily available to everyone. They just need to take a moment and read it.

He said he tried one, and the fee didn't show up. We all (including the OP) read the promo (he said he had in one of his posts) it simply didn't cover the BIN addition... usually it says something about it whether it's excluding it or including it and this one didn't.
Only way to figure it out is to list a few and see if the fees show up OR get an eBay rep to show up in the thread and clarify it... didn't seem earth shattering enough (it's only a nickel) to grab tyler or the others so simplest answer is to list and then check the fees.
😉

They came here to ask instead of reading the promo specification. I simply gave the location of finding that information for anyone that might need it. And no the only way to figure it out is not to post a few. You can read the specification for any given promo and you should be able to tell what it is for. The promo in question says nothing about a BIN on an auction. Safe to run with it is not covered under the promo.
