Did you mean:

Positive only thread.

Look, a lot of people hate selling here, I get it. But reading all the negativity on here gets old. So I'm making a thread only about positive events.

Examples: something sold higher than you expected it to, a transaction went better than expected, you found a storage unit you can easily sell for 20X more than you paid for it, etc.

Re: Positive only thread.

I read these threads regularly, learn constantly, yet very seldom reply. Both my husband and I work our 'business' regularly. We are both 72. I am very thankful for the mental challenge that learning all that running this type of business has required. That type of exercise for our brains is very positive for our neurological health and at a time in our lives when that is a real benefit.

We see the changes that are taking place and have some 'wondering about that' with some of it. But our stance has been that we will learn and change as needed. The bedrock to anyone's success is being honest, fair, other centered and grateful. Those are factors that we control, not a website. I honestly suspect that the changes are going to work out OK if we will be patient to learn, offer up well articulated recommendations to eBay to the shortfalls we see, and set aside the grumbling. It pleases me to read all that others have written here. And, also, we are making some money.

Yeah, but where's the phone?  Smiley Very Happy

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

Re: Positive only thread.

Not a reply to paper...

I wanted to add to the 'never too late'...my hubby and I are both musicians but met late in life (at a piano bar appropriately enough). He played guitar ok but I could tell that he had potential. Long story short, 15 years later we are a duo and just cut our first CD, have sold a bunch and given a bunch away. We write a lot of our own music, he played guitar and sang at a large popular restaurant in town for 8 years.

We do weddings and parties, really perform anywhere we can. He has also taught himself piano, and I went back to college to study Music Theory. It truly is never too late if you care enough.

Re: Positive only thread.

I'll jump on the bandwagon - my clothing sales are slow - but spent $2 at an estate sale last week on viewmaster reels - already have made a $70 profit.

Also folks - it seems the more you sell - the better your visibility. I picked up some clothing today for 25 cents each - listed all at auction for $1.99 plus shipping - already have bids on several - now they may not make me a lot of profit - but it should spur sales for BINS.

Congratulations Mr C and Mrs C - just remember, the first 32 are the hardest.  It's all down hill from here.  Smiley Wink
