When taking pictures through the ebay app to create a posting they are coming out really small and pixelated, to the point you cannot crop the image and it looks really bad, both in the app and on the computer. I've done hundreds of listings this way and never had this issue before. Any ideas how to fix?

Just curious, are your camera settings set for large files and 1:1 framing? Sometimes these will change when using a phone and after doing a restart.

You may want to adjust the camera settings on your phone. Experiment with the settings until you find something that works.

It has nothing to do with the App. I do not even know how to change an image using Ebay's photo program. I suggest just make all your changes on your phone or computer how you like them then hit add when making a listing. Things will stay just like they are.

The work around for the record is to upload the photos to the computer first then add them to the listing on desktop, and edit them on desktop as well, another unnecessary step.

That is EXACTELY how it should work. Ebay is not required to provide you with editing software, you need to edit your own photos.

Have you tried just taking a bunch of photos and then you select the photos that you like and load them through the ebay app. The ONLY time I use the ebay app to take a photo is if I just need one photo like a closeup of a flaw or the base of a car . (I sell mainly diecast cars.)

The issue seems to be with uploading the photos in the app. I've tried changing the camera setting, taking the pictures in the app, taking the pictures with the camera and then uploading through the app, the pictures still come out really small and granulated looking.

Those who suggested the computer are correct that it still works fine - just adds an extra step and takes additional time, but that's also what I've been doing since this glitch started happening.

Good idea - I noticed I did have my camera on 3:4 instead of 1:1, made the change, but the issue of the photos looking granulated still persists. It seems to be an issue of uploading the photos in the app. When I look at the photos stored on my phone they are fine, but when uploading they are really small and granulated.

Also happening on my end for the last week or so, on 60% of listings. No matter if the pictures are taken in ebay app or on my camera roll

For me it's everytime I use ebay lens for search. Then my pictures won't crop look horrible. I force stop the actual app and it works again until I use lens again try to force stop the app
