I recently listed an item on ebay a planet eclipse csr paintball gun for 1600$. On aug 23 the item was sold but when i check my paypal account it shows 1600$ This payment is still pending. In case you are shipping an item please wait until the payment is completed. I then called paypal and ebay customer supprt and they bolth told me funds were received the pending transaction was a hold from ebay policy and will be released three days after item gets received gave me the ok to ship. I shipped item and waited three days and funds are still pending. I then call ebay and paypal support again now there telling me funds were never received and i should of never shipped item until payment was received... please if someone can help me give me an idea

Where did you get the phone numbers? From an email?

Did you go into your paypal account, verify payment was in there and got an OK to ship?

I went into my paypal account and i seen payment was pending so i called customer support and they gave me ok to ship and told me pending payment was because of ebay policy.

I googled paypal customer support and ebay support and the numbers were provided there

Never ship a part until the PayPal payment states ok to ship. eCheck can take longer than 3 days and the buyer can cancel the payment during that time

CS is known to give faulty information.

Until you get the OK to ship, you do not do so.

Did you call paypal, and verify if payment is actually in there and just being held because you are new.

Or that it is an E check which may take a few days to clear.

Or never existed at all.

You might want to see if you can get the package recalled prior to it being delivered or you will probably be out the item and the money.

Either paypal and ebay both screwed up in telling you to ship (tho you seem to say the written instruction was not to ship) or you misunderstood them.

We're not going to be able to tell which happened......... I would call paypal back.......ask if they can verify the first conversation that told you to ship and see what they say.

I fear it's not going to turn out well.......

yes customer support told me payment is pending and its from a german bank
im just really annoyed. i understand not to ship items until payment was received but when i call customer support and they tell me payment is received and the pending was because of ebay 3 day hold policy so i trusted them and shipped now im having tons problems trying to receive funds

its been delivered for days already i wonder if i can call the postal office were it was picked up at an file complaint?

i have the customer support team is looking into the conversation is there any other advice you might have please? maybe i can contact the post office report it stolen i had insurance on it?

So payment is in there it just needs to clear?

If so, just give it a little more time and keep checking your paypal account for the funds.

What happened is:

There are two kinds of payment holds

(1) is because of payments that do not clear right away like e checks or there is a problem with the funds clearing

(2) 3 day hold for newbies who have not sold anything in the last 6 months. They will get their funds released 3 days after tracking shows item was received and there is no problem.

CS got the two confused.
