I assume that if people are interested, they will click through to go to the listing. That gets outside eyes on your items.

This is posting on Pinterest. One finds their way to the eBay listing through the pin, not the other way around, so it's legal.
I use Pinterest and Twitter a lot for marketing. I haven't seen where it has made a huge difference, but it's quick and easy so I do it, particularly speciality items where I might need more eyes. If I do the pinning myself I add a little content, but if I just pin directly from the website I just plop it in there.

Pinterest helps index your ebay http link onto web search results it also helps with sites like google so people can find your ebay item. When you pin the item link to Pinterest you also should get Pinterest bot views. The Pinterest link can be found still some years later and in other languages. I've had people contact me on ebay asking if ebay item seen on Pinterest two years earlier was still available. ebay gives you the Pinterest icon on top of each listing so its good to use it. Buyers filter through Pinterest into ebay and can land directly on your ebay listing. And quiet often buy it.

Hi, chapeau. I'm thinking about trying Pinterest when I next list some items on eBay. Can you please help me navigate through? I've set up an account and know where the Pinterest icon is on a listing. And that's it. What happens next? Not sure what you mean by "pin." Thanks so much.
(Please disregard this post if I'm asking too much.)

@happydaysantiques A pin is something of interest or a picture or article that you post to your board that's appropriately named for that "pin"....say like a vintage dining chair you've seen..you take a picture and pin it to your board titled: mid century chairs.

Thank you for your kind response, silverstate. It is very much appreciated.
I've been slowly navigating through some Pinterest tutorials over the past few days, but it isn't easy for an old lady like me....
