I receivand an email stating that I was permanently suspended from selling on eBay. Multiple emails to eBay resulted in no clear answer as to why eBay banned me from selling. Email states as follows:
"Thank you for contacting eBay. My name is Chinar and I'm glad to review your appeal.
It would have been a pleasure if we were able to share the details, unfortunately due to privacy policy we won’t be able to disclose the factors. If we disclose the factors it may help members in circumventing our policy in future.
I could sense this is a frustrating situation for you. Unfortunately, much of this information remains protected by eBay because if we told members how we review the accounts, it would provide members with a way to circumvent being linked to activities in the future. Our ability to review accounts is a big part of fraud and circumvention detection, which keeps the entire community safe. I hope this helps you understand why we can’t share too many details.
As eBay is an Internet-based business, and its members are our customers, we have to carefully weigh the risks involved with allowing users on our site. From time to time, we find buying, selling, or registration patterns that pose certain risks which no longer justify a continuing relationship with our platform. When that happens, we suspend these accounts indefinitely, which includes buying and selling.
This suspension is permanent and means that you will not be able to participate in any selling activities on eBay. We regret any frustration or inconvenience this matter may cause you. There is no appeal for this decision.
Once again thank you for your cooperation."
I pride myself in my 100% feedback and my above average seller rating and would not have done anything to jeopardize my account with eBay. A couple months back I found that my account was hacked and immediately reported it to eBay. The hacker placed three to four items for sale that sold by the time I communicated the hack account to eBay. Steps were taken to eliminate fraudulent items that were sold and was told by eBay that they would handle any repercussions from these false listings. Was not to worry if I saw any communications within my messages and was assured that there was no more problems. For eBay to have shut down my selling doesn't make any sense and eBay is unwilling to disclose the reason why based on that I might take advantage of eBay through the loopholes that they disclose to me. I believe that I have been unjustly shut down for reasons that aren't being explained. Now so frustrated with eBay I'm contemplating canceling my eBay account completely over this discrepancy. Who do you talk to and how do you contact them to complain further. eBay's actions in this instance are in my account are unfounded until proven otherwise.
