Skewer me if I missed something…

I’m being contacted by buyers saying they can’t pay with PayPal. Is this a technical issue or a policy change? This started a few hours ago. The option is gone on all listings.

Do you know if these buyers are trying to use PayPal and are blocked or is it that they assume you don't accept PayPal because there is a current glitch that does not display the PayPal logo in the accepted payments section of your listings?

I just looked - all of my listings, the Paypal logo is gone as well.

You are right. I just looked at a listing in eBay Motors, did not see PayPal as an option. Earlier when looking in same area, got some Asian writing instead of English on left side, but only in some areas.  This might be a question for the teck area; https://community.ebay.com/t5/Share-eBay-Technical-Issues/bd-p/technicalissues-db

Perhaps if ebay doesn't display the logo, PayPal will go away?  Sort of like 'Home Alone' - "I made my family PayPal disappear"!   😁

No, the option to pay via PayPal is gone from the listing page where it shows what methods you can pay via, for the buyer.

Buyer here. Trying to pay with Paypal and it is not even offered at checkout nor do I see it on any sellers listings. Some kind of glitch happening. There are a few posts about Paypal  not working.

I came on here to see what had happened with Paypal. I'm one of the prospective buyers who was surprised to see no Paypal option today.

FYI - The timestamp on the initial report showing on the PayPal status page is 00:48 UTC, that would be  7:48 EDT, which is about the same time as the first posts on the eBay Technical Issue board.

It's not just affecting eBay-- out of curiosity, I just tried to purchase some points in one of my crane game apps via PayPal and it's not working there either, it just hangs on the checkout screen.

Thanks for posting about this.  I was wondering why sales were down today that just might explain it.  Hopefully it is back to working soon.  Any chance someone could post when that does happen

I just made a purchase tonight, the seller ONLY accepts PayPal, and I will ONLY pay with PayPal.

When I went to check out, the “Pay With PayPal” button was there and I went to proceed, and I got the message below. I tried several more times with the same result. Then, the button was no longer available! I contacted the seller, she’s just as perplexed. I checked numerous other auctions, no more PayPal logo, cannot choose PayPal as a method of payment anymore, just shows VISA, MasterCard, AmEx, etc., and Apple Pay. NO PAYPAL! Can’t contact anyone at eBay, I get the “run-around” trying to, especially when it comes to PayPal, says to “Contact PayPal”. So I did, and they said they no nothing about a problem, and to contact eBay!!! **bleep**?!
