I just got a notice that I haven't paid my fees...when I tried to have a chat with them they want me now to PAY to subscribe to a chat app...this is disgusting. Pay to straighten out something I didn't do wrong?? I'm about ready to quit selling and buying on Ebay...absolutely NO Customer Service at all!!! And I know because I was a Customer Service Manager at Amex for years!

you are not dealing with eBay. You have gotten in contact with a scammer.

As @buyselljack2016 pointed out, there is NO pay to "chat" feature with e-Bay. Hopefully you have not entered any personal information into whatever site you landed in??? Would change my password asap.

I received the same email -- and it was directly from eBay, so not a scam.
Several other sellers have also complained about receiving this email -- even though our "unpaid" balances are ZERO.
Just another eBay snafu.

OP's post states she/he was being asked to PAY to subscribe to a chat app in order to speak to e-Bay about their account. That would be a scam.

You're right -- I skipped over that part. My apologies.
The email that I received from eBay mentions NOTHING about a chat app -- just a demand for payment on a ZERO balance.

Got the same email asking for payment and amount owed was Zero. lol (e-Bay at WERK, see the email to prove it! lol)
Wondering if the OP googled how to call them and ended up in one of the scam sites?
