Hello sellers. I know by now that this is common place. Buyer buys vintage bowl but fails to view photos that show condition (and thus pricing due to condition). Buyer receives bowl and surprised by condition. Buyer claims I took deceptive photography in order to get me to pay return shipping. Opens false INAD and possibly negs my fb. I am left with $30 in shipping charges. Ebay, I am done.

The Mexicana Bowl? the first picture shows what looks like glare on the left side of the rim......other pictures show it is a definite chip that is not mentioned in your description. I note that in other listings you say "no chips", but nothing about chips in this description.
When selling anything with a defect, that needs to be mentioned in the description and also in the "condition" box that shows at the top of a listing. You can't depend on pictures........especially because of mobile showing smaller pictures.

Hi dhbooksds,
Thanks for writing. Had this been a sole event I would be completely in agreement. This is not my only seller account. I started selling as a full time “activity” in 2000. I am merely stating this condition on a recent sale that has made me change my mind. eBay seems to make no decision in favor of the seller at all anymore. My business model no longer works but I am not saying anything about anyone else. I have been on here way too long to make a claim such as that about any other sellers. I’m simply stating that I’m done. It’s recently that I’ve had to go from a business model that focuses on maximizing profits to a business model that focuses on minimizing losses and so that’s simply what I’m doing.

Buyers tend to do that when sellers don't accept returns.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only seller that hasn't been selling on eBay for 20+ years.

Hello and Merry Christmas! An update to the situation. When the bowl came back it wasn’t packaged in the styrofoam that I placed around it and was broken on the return. eBay reversed the buyer’s return and refunded me for the sale and both shipping expenses. What a surprise.

How did that happen? Did you contact ebay chat? Ebay phone? Or eBay on social media?
Which option helped and did it take more than 1 call, rep and such.
