I've been selling Old Tv Series on USB Drives for a year now. Ebay is canceling my auctions. There are many people selling the same way same thing. A couple of years ago I talk to a man from Ebay on m listing. I was selling DVD's at the time. I had 1,000. listings. He explained to me about variations.
Now I like to ask how to put my TV series up. Is there a phone number I can call ?

There is no phone number to call.
If there is a valid copyright on any of those episodes of the series, you may not list it. If the series is based on a book, if the book is copyrighted and the copyright is active, you may not list it.
Ebay does not handle exceptions well. This is a big deal since Ebay wishes to maintain its protection from being responsible for any intellectual property violation you commit.
Perhaps one of your competitors will tell you how they gamed the system to get their listings up.
If you keep up getting your listings taken down, and you probably will, you will lose your account.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to respond. If you are getting your listings taken down it must be due to some sort of violation. Typically you will receive a message from ebay letting you know if the violation can be fixed or not. If it can be fixed you will be told how and or provided an email address to appeal. If it cannot be fixed then I would not try to relist that specific item because doing so will eventually get you restricted from selling. As for other people selling the same item, yes they may be selling/have the item listed however it does not mean its not against ebay policy it only means they have not be found out yet. Ebay is a massive market place and so there are 1000s if not 1000000 s of listing going live daily so to try and police every single one will be a never end task. It is not a matter of if but when the listing gets taken down eventually they all do. Hopefully this helps

Selling recordings of television shows or movies is illegal.

Ebay is canceling my auctions.
If you have that happen more than a couple of times your account may be permanently suspended. I looked at a few of your listings and there is no question that they are blatant copyright infringement.

If you don't retain the copyrights to these old TV shows, you cannot sell them on eBay. You are infringing on them and that can be a problem. Don't relist them. Hollywood doesn't take kindly to these violations & liable suits for this type of selling behavior can and do happen.

This thread was just posted today...7/4/24. I believe you are mistaken.

Maybe they live in a relative way and read this thread the previous week.

Do you own the rights to put them on a drive and sell them?
Just because other people do it, doesn't make it legal.

Are you giving the artists that made the TV shows a percentage? If not, you're stealing. EBay is an up and up business. There is no room for illegal activity.

Just curious, what year do you think it is?

Well, all things are relative and it depends on what you are.
This is the year 4719 to the Chinese, 2565 to the Buddhist, 7532 to the Byzantine, 2016 to the Ethiopians - well I could go on.
