My store subscription renewed without any changes and Ebay charged me double for the same period see pictures and the dates. They charged me extra $29 for half month that they charhed me before for the whole month!

Well, I was shipping the item and saw that it had been sold as a promoted listing.
Well I messaged them and asked if they just went straight to the link and purchased it, they said yes........

Ebay charged me like .50$ on a 12 dollar item?
(And I had it promoted at 1.8% not like 5%)
If you do not understand someone bought something from me buy clicking on a link I SENT THEM and I got charged because it was promoted.???
It was just a normal promotion not pay per click or any of those.
I see this repeatedly where listings get overcharged or I have to pay larger than normal fees.
I have been seeing this a LOT.
And I wouldn't be posting about it if I did not see it a lot.
Ebay is making millions off of these seemingly small charges...
???

OP, can you check your prior year's subscription charges? I wish I could remember the reason (but I don't), my store renewals look like that every year, for many years now. I remember looking into it once & it has something to do with the way they charge it, like 1 month is in arrears & 1 is in advance or something weird like that. I know this isn't much help, since I don't remember the exact details, but hopefully someone else will. It's the way it normally looks for me & I know I've seen many others ask about it over the years.

I can’t. Ebay wiped records for subscription for january-match 2021 (downloaded report is missing data as I reported during 1099k). My anual subscription renewed february 1. I paid full month 1.16-2.15 and 2.16-3.15 and then they proceed to charge me extra half month for 2.1-2.15
I get it. I went to take a screenshot of mine from last year to upload here & now w/MP, there is no easy way to find it anymore. I'm not sure about the 1/2 month, but the 'double' full month charges are the way it's looked for a good 5 years or so. I'll see if I can locate the explanation somewhere.
Facebook Ebay didn’t get back to me at all. However today I noticed Ebay added credit adjustment for $29. It seems they cancelled subscription and so they charged me early cancellation fee which doesn’t make sense. I never cancelled subscription. It looks like new way to add fees that may go unnoticed sometime.
