Over charging for under 1lb shipping

Why is ebay price Goughing for the cost of under 1lb package? I set the weight at 14oz and first class package should be around $5 not $7.70.And everytime i tap on Get it back it keeps putting the weight to 6oz like they are trying to cost me money for under weight.

You're looking at the retail prices, where the weight limit for First Class packages is 13 ounces. So the shipping calculator does the same as what the clerk at the Post Office counter would do: Upgrades the package to Priority.

When you list, just enter 13 oz, which will charge the correct  rate for up to 15.9oz.   Then enter the correct weight when you print your label and all is well.

I just printed a 15.9 oz. first class label this morning.  How is that some people post that there is a 13 oz. limit?

I just don't respond to all the various opinions on how shipping works if you have a store and get the ebay discount.

The "eBay discount" is the same for all sellers, whether you have a Store subscription or not. The only exception is that Top Rated Sellers get an extra 3% discount off of the rate for Priority Mail.

For First Class packages we all pay the USPS published Commercial rate, where the weight limit is 15.999 ounces, even though the retail weight limit is 13 ounces.
