Hello!
I am a new seller on Ebay.
I sold a item but this is out of stock for another 15 days.
I tried to contact my customer and I have ofered other similar item or refund the money but nobody answer me.
What do you think about this?
What should I do?
Sorry If my english is not the best. I am not native.
Regards
Juan

Your buyer can open an Item Not Received claim against you as soon as the latest delivery date has passed, and you will have to refund their money in full. You will also get a serious defect against your account.
I would suggest you find another seller with this item, buy it for your customer and have it sent directly to them. It doesn't matter if you lose money doing this, it is the only way to protect your account. Otherwise you may be out of business permanently.
You need to learn the rules of selling here. Being out of stock is a major problem that eBay punishes sellers for.

If the item is available from another seller, I would buy it and have it shipped directly to the customer.

Juan, I agree with rest of advice.........but a caution, you are drop shipping, I presume. If you can't depend on your suppliers to ship as soon as possible, selling their items aren't going to work..... You need to be notified when they are out of stock so you can cancel the listing on ebay......so this won't happen again. Right now at least, out of stock problems is the one thing that can get you suspended or kicked off.

Juan are you a drop shipper? Check for the item with other eBay sellers and google the product to see if you can get it on another website. You need to try to fulfil the order. So buy it somewhere else if you have to and get it to the customer. The risk of not doing that may result in you getting a negative feedback. If your a drop shipper you need to keep a constant eye on the availabilty of the items you have listed on eBay, for you will find you will run into this out of stock problem a lot otherwise

Your account can survive with a late shipping incident or with a negative feedback. In my opinion these are not nearly as serious as having your account go Below Standard.
These two transaction defect types are considered when calculating your transaction defect rate:
Your seller rating can fall Below Standard if either:
I would do anything within eBay policy to avoid an out-of-stock transaction defect.
