I'm selling all/most of my collectables. I understand that things are expensive now. But eBay makes it too easy for bidders/buyers and they should be held more accountable.
We can't even leave negative feedback so now we can't screen bidders and block their bids.
eBay used to an awesome place for auctions. And I always liked putting up auctions and let the bidders decide how much it is worth. Now it's a waste of time and not even worth it.
I am doing Fixed Listings only now. And I am bombarded with messages with buyers trying to send me low-ball offers.
We should at least have the option to block bids from buyers who have unpaid item cases on their account. Maybe there is an option for this that I am missing?
eBay, please address this!!

I know eBay wants to be like Amazon and protect buyers at all costs. But lot of us aren't selling everyday items. We are saying collectables and unique items. That's why we have auctions.

There is a blocked bidder section and you can set up some parameters buyers must meet. In the seller hub, there is a link in the shortcuts section.

Be sure to require immediate payment otherwise you will be back to square one.

There is a way to block buyers who have unpaid strikes, now I'm telling you on the fly via my phone not my desk top but you go into your account settings and I believe it's manage buyers is what you want.
Q: why are you putting that snug fitting men's suit up for auction? That should be a BIN, just curious. Best of luck to you.

Hi TY. Yeah, gonna relist it as a BIN. But dunno how to stop automatic relisting unless it's an auction style. But with the increase in free listings, I shouldn't have to worry about automatic relisting putting more over the threshold.

eBay has addressed this.
- They have created the Fixed Price / Immediate Payment required format
- They give UPI strikes to buyers (if the seller completes the UPI process)
- They allow sellers to block buyers based on UPI strike history
Unfortunately, the nature of online transactions prevents eBay from doing a few things:
- They cannot go to a seller's house and force him to describe items accurately
- They cannot go to a buyer's house and force him to pay for an item
- They cannot go to a seller's house and force him to ship an item
Because of these limitations, there will always be inaccurate listings, non-payment from buyers, and sellers who refuse to ship or ship the wrong item.
