There's an eclipse coming? When?

Watching live coverage on NASA's FB page.

I'm watching not only the eclipse but also an auction that's scheduled to end right bang in the middle of totality here in the Central time zone. I'm wondering whether the seller planned it that way. I'm not expecting much competition from snipers on this one.

Heading outside shortly. I'm trying to get my photos for the day finished beforehand.

We are in N.E. PA and we'll be watching around 2 east coast time.
My husband has a way to view it safely with his telescope.
The telescope reflects it back onto a paper or something, I don't know, lol.
My son & grandson are coming here to see it too.

Hard to believe it will go semi dark in 8 minutes.

We got 65% coverage here in So. Cal.
It didn't really seem to get dark but the temp dropped 10 degrees and that is a good thing here in the desert.
Wish we had these more often.
For those in the dark zone I'm sure the experience is a once in a lifetime event.
DON'T LOOK AT THE SUN!
