Now getting nagging emails when EVERY listing ends telling me to "lower your price"...

This started about two weeks ago. Now every time an auction ends and I need to relist, I am being bombarded with nagging to "Lower your price so it sells". My prices aren't that high. I am not a 'drop shipper'...these are my own personal items. I know what my stuff is worth.
So my question is this: is ebay "keeping score" of whether or not we do lower the price when they "instruct" us to? And is this gonna be used against sellers somehow?
I noticed it when they stopped allowing the little popup window to relist. Now they force you to go back to the whole listing page to relist.
I pay my fees. And I pay my $20 a month (which really doesn't save you that much money when the items you list aren't in their "Specified Categories": ie: vintage records, vintage electronics, and other "COLLECTIBLES" that they don't consider a "collectible"). I don't need to lose money just to "make a sale".

The issue with Ebay as compared with AMZ is that you have some extremely varied prices on items because there are sellers here that do bargain basement sales where on other sites they do not. It is part of the scenerio here that is different than others and thus a bit harder to get a good price on some types of items. The bots figure these prices with these comparisons. The competition within the site is challenging.

these ebay marketing messages are sent with the resemblance of an old saying.

I am also tired of ebays emails too. EBAY just wants to make money at the expense of the seller--- even if it means you losing profits or forcing sellers to buy return ship labels at a profit for ebay. I am all for ebay making money but they need to be a lot more subtle and classy about it.

I getting lots of different messages, telling me how to sell. Telling me to lower prices on things I've had a successful price point set on for a long time.
One of the more unexplainable stupid ones is the one that tells me, "I have them hooked, now all I have to do is lower the price to get the sale." This is always on items that have already sold.
After quite a few years with eBay, I'm having a real disconnect with them, not only with this obvious symtom of disfunction, but many others. I've about had it, I'm starting to move things elsewhere.

I've been getting the emails telling me my items are sitting in carts and to lower my price to get a sale. Now, today I got an email telling me my items are on watch lists and I should lower my price.

@yestergroove Ref: Mobile friendly checker ... let me clarify because there is nothing you need to know ... this is an eBay feature on your listing form when you create, edit, revise or relist. All YOU have to do is click on it and eBay will check to see if your Description format displays well on a mobile device ... if it deosn't there is a Fix button, click that then scroll down and Save.
The Mobile friendly checker can be found just above the Description window you type in - right hand side. Try one of your listings and see how it works ...

Many watchers are just competitors so while you may get the occassional sale by lowering your price 9 times out of 10 the watching competitor will just see your price lowered--- and then the competitor watcher gets an email you changed it - and then they lower their price to beat yours ----in a race to the bottom intended to drive away smaller sellers who cant compete with the prices of larger volume sellers or chinese sellers. Ebay is in fact losing fee by telling sellers to do this.

Again, thanks to all of you. I'm learning a lot through this.
I haven't tried finding anywhere else to sell online. I know there are other sites, but get bogged down in if it is "ok" to have the items on more than one site, and what if it sells on BOTH sites, then what do ya do, etc. And I don't want to run "afoul" of any of the rules and get booted from eBay, which I suppose is a fear-based thought. Maybe I should change that perception.
Like I said, I don't really have an "inventory". I don't "buy" stuff to sell. I am just selling off my personal possessions to survive at this point. So I guess the whole thing is eBay having shifted their focus away from sellers like me, and more toward people "drop shipping" or buying stuff wholesale in big lots. The stuff I have is all one-of-a-kind items from decades ago, at this point. To my mind that was what eBay was all about way back in 2000 when my sweetie and I first joined.
And thx again to mr_lincoln. I will check the mobile thing out. A friend recently gave me an old tablet to play with, which I haven't really done. Now that I'm getting old, I do that thing I used to laugh at "oldsters" for doing on the computer: Zooming the size of the text and pics to about 150% so I can see it on the 27" screen without squinting too hard. I still can't believe the yungins can watch a movie on a tiny phone and actually see what's going on. lol.
And thanks to all for your thoughts about the pricing; I've had items that I relisted many times finally sell for what I've asked for them, and it is true: sometimes the "right person" just hasn't seen it yet.

@yestergroove You very welcome ...
Just and FYI about the Tablet your friend gave you ... did they ever have an eBay account AND did they ever use that device to access their account? The reason I ask is that accounts can become associated with one another through the same IP address, accessed on the same device, possibly public hot spots, etc. The problem arises that if one account recieves a temorary or permanent suspension then all the "associtated" accounts receive the same. I am not trying to scare you but that is what has been posted on The Community ... sad but true I suppose.
Additionally, if you use WiFi at your house don't ever let anyone log on to their eBay account while visiting ... they can use their own mobile device on their own network but NOT your WiFi ...
