Not selling anything on ebay it's been years

I think when it comes to people complaining about prices. I think they undervaluing and item to make it way cheaper then you would ever buy it in a shop.ever. It's very rude and disrespectful. As for sales I personally talked to an excellent customer service representative for ebay. They proceeded to tell me I wasn't putting my products out there for them to be notices when I have the best price on there. So already had a lawsuit for a similar incident previously. Was blamed on my internet cause caused extremely bad damages. So I'm making sure I'm doing things right before it happens again it's been three years me and my children have only made about 40-50 dollars on here. When previously we made thousands of dollars. Now they are hawk eyeing my account making sure I'm not putting stuff that shouldnt be on there feels like harassment. What can I say hopefully it gets better for our sake. Thanks for reading my opinions.

I love what customers I've had very nice. Not to put down the customer but I've basically given away two things so far for free cause the shipping prices were different they where I was shipping. I'm an old school person I don't have shipping printers and such I write it all out myself I think I was charged for a label I don't think I even used. I made like two dollars of an item that took me three plus days to make with callouses. My blood sweat and tears goes into the stuff I make and to get ripped off like I have since I started. Man I have a story for a lawyer one day.lol. thank goodness for our community or we would have starved from waiting for something to sale. Wouldn't that have been something. Trust me it's not just ebay so far I think I recorded so far Mercari, Facebook. So far nodda. Again my opinions.

eBay has a reputation for being a flea market, not a 'shop'. Feeling that something is "very rude and disrespectful" is an emotional reaction. I try not to react emotionally to the opinions of complete strangers.

If you have a history of putting things on eBay shouldn't be there, of course eBay is going to keep an eye on you going forward. That is not harassment, that is a perfectly reasonable response.

Perhaps you could reconsider what items you are selling.  You're right,  the soaps are too labor intensive.   Look around, find something unique to your country.   Check the settings on your shipping, sounds like they're incorrect.  Good luck.

@apothic96   your soaps look very nice with reasonable prices, but i think it would help your sales if u posted more photos

i personally have an addiction to bar soaps, and would consider purchasing yours, but i need more photos, at least the backside of the bars as well  👀

also, i don't see what the weight is of each bar 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, etc

YOU, the seller, are the one who sets prices on the items YOU are selling.

So, if you feel that you are "basically giving away things" that it took several days to create, you have to ask yourself, where does the blame lie?

Your listings need help -

1) If you are selling 3 bars - your photos should be for 3 bars. Photos should only include what is being purchased. Selling 3 bars for $7, only show 3

Selling 1 jar - only show 1 jar

2) You need to list all ingredients for your soaps. ALL ingredients.

3) you need more and brighter photos

4) there should also be something in the photos that shows size of these bars. Maybe a ruler or a deck of cards.

5) tested ???  What does that mean?

Im sure your sales would be better if you work on your listings.

You don't need a shipping printer.   If you have a computer and simple printer, you print the lablel on a regular sheet of paper and tape it to the box.  You'll save money with the Ebay shipping label.

I was a little confused when I first looked at some of your listings.  For example, your "egg soap"; I thought it had egg in it but when I looked, it is apparently just egg-shaped.  Your "grape soap" should say "grape scented".

You need to spell "gentle" correctly.   Explain what "slime" soap is.

Please use @klhmdg's suggestions above and include all information in your listings.

I will never buy “tested” soap unless it is clear that it hasn’t been used 🙂

Look at the images of competitive products being shown on your listings.

Look at your images.

Which are more appealing to a buyer.

I'm curious what kind of items you previously sold for which you made thousands of dollars.

When DD was giving business advice to her girlfriend (the last of the hippies - utility free cabin in the woods, free-range children,  big organic garden) about how to get a good income from her soaps she was startled to learn that the product actually being sold was marijuana.

A lot of mail order soap businesses, in those days when grass was illegal, were a cover. You ordered soap, you got dope. She did sell a certain amount of soap through local health food stores.

Which is, as girlfriend pointed out, a lot cheaper to mail, because soap is heavy.

Girlfriend needed to pivot because BC had legalized cannabis and her market was about to disappear.

In the end DD's advice was that the cost for soap production and for shipping were too high to make the business profitable. Girlfriend went on welfare instead. DD no longer talks to her.

Not if ebay has been previously sued for their behavior.
