Yes, it’s a Saturday, and not all sellers ship. We do! Especially on a holiday weekend!!
Just a heads up though, if you are in an area just hit by storms, and live in tiny town like we do, I’d call before heading out! Arrived at our post office to find one employee stating they were closed due to weather. He was able to take packages, but nothing is running. No computers, no lights, no trucks, no people. 😂
We messaged our buyers about the situation and reminded them of postal holiday Monday. Who wants to take bets that at least one will complain their item hasn’t arrived yet come Tuesday?!?
Happy selling 🛍️!

I haven't had any mail or mail carriers come thru my neighborhood in 2 days due to the weather. However, it's also like that during the summer. lol. USPS needs to get it together. They get worse every year. Happy MLK Day to you!
Happy Selling!

Believe it or not, this is from the actual usps.com website:
The U.S. Postal Service has no official motto. Nope, it’s not this: “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” But we certainly appreciate the sentiment.

We are having our coldest day in Portland Oregon since 1989. Definitely very dangerous to drive on the ice. I didn't do a pickup request even though I normally do on Saturdays.

Wow! Agreed! Summer too?! Wasn’t it USPS slogan back in the day …
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds
Well thats sure changed
Happy MLK day & sales to you!! 😁

Yes...However we have a new generation of basically lazy people. One of my carriers has worked for the PO for 24 years. He told me they hire contract laborers at a very good hourly rate, yet they don't want to show up for work. Guess video games and smoking the chronic are more important. No offense to anyone who does, I guess I'm just disappointed in America's work ethic these days. Thanks for your reply and keep up the good sales.

On the other hand, smoking the chronic is preferable to "going postal."

I'm more disappointed in the management (dejoy) closing distribution sites and more. The one is Richmond is trying to handle another that closed and they are a mess. The main one in my whole state is on the chopping block, so I dread how much worse it may get here. The weather issue is on top of existing problems.

Just wanted to say "stay safe, everyone" that's dealing with this brutal cold snap. We had our first major snow storm (since 2011) yesterday. I'm in Chicago right near the lakefront & while we have a lot of snow, it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
The brutal weather, well below zero, is starting tomorrow for a week! I just worry about the power going out, which it does often. Trying to stock up now. I'm on the 20th floor of a high-rise & if power goes out, so do the elevators & we get "stuck" up here. It's a creepy feeling.
But I have to give some credit to our postal workers. They really do come rain or shine. It always amazes me! I suspect it's because it is such a large building, over 400 apartments, that it's a priority. All the UPS & Amazon trucks came yesterday as well. Thanks to all who made it here!
But I know it's certainly not like that in other parts of the country. I only have a few listings up, but made sure to put them on vacation, time away. It's a good idea if you're dealing with bad weather.
Good luck everyone and stay safe & warm! ⛄ ☃️ ⛄
