As the title says, if I close the auction with buyer never paid, would posting positve feedback stating "payment never received" be considered negative? Its a factual truth that to em is neither negative nor positive, only a recap of facts. What are your thoughts on this?

Maybe feedback wording like this: Thank you for shopping at our store, but we have noticed your payment has not been received. Please pay now so we can get your order in the mail. Thank you.
I have heard that a response to your original feedback is not considered a false positive. For example: Your initial positive feedback would say: Thank you for shopping at my store. Below that you can respond with: It has been 2 days and we have not received your payment. Please pay now so we can get your order in the mail.
I'm not positive about either of these suggestions, so correct me if I am wrong.

Nobody can be forced to pay for anything here. That same person who didn't pay might have decided, "I dont want it." Some future auction does want and due to you're feedback the seller cancels his/her bids.
What if you walked into any store and picked something up... Made it the register and decided I dont' want it and thus handed to the clerk only to find a big scrolling screen that said, "Mr. xxxx at Register five doesn't pay for what he brings to the register."
A more accurate comparison is someone walks into your store and brings a high valued item into the bathroom blocking anyone else from buying it for 4 days

Does the store allow that? I doubt it.
Ebay does allow buyers 4 days to pay.
You agree to this when you sell here.
I didn't read this entire thread but are you aware that ebay has a system
in place to address bidders/buyers who don't pay?

You made a comparison that made no sense, ebay allows a buyer 4 days to pay, ebay DOESNT allow buyers to bid and not pay -
theres no way to compare it to someone browsing in a store, if someone wins an auction you by rule cant sell the item for 4 days to anyone else unless the buyer tells you in writing he wont pay.
The point of the thread was the fact that ebay does allow feedback in these situations, yet there isn't an accurate feedback that can be left thats within ebay guidelines.
