No selling fees at all for sneaker sales for how long?

Surprised to see a sale I made last week had no fees taken out at all and so I looked it up quickly but how ling ebay been offering no fees for sneaker sales? Is it ending soon and are there any sneaky methods like fees being taken out some time later? I am just weirded out they're not taking fees out an item that would net them quite a penny on fees.

More weird is that what I sold had been listed for about a couple years prior to being sold sp obviously there's no requirement to how new the listing has to be

I believe men's sneakers over $100 have no fee. Been that way for a while. Trying to get business that otherwise goes to sneaker sites that have high fees. Also competing by adding authenticator services.

So this solves a couple mysteries. I went back and checked the furthest invoices on my account which is feb 2020. That month I sold a pair over $100 and had fees taken out but those fees were completely credited back to me in may 2020.

I know I sold 4-5 pairs all throughout last year up til now for over $100 after feb 2020 and those don't even show up on my invoices for what items sold which I still find kind of strange even if no fees were taken out. I now figured out that is why all throughout last year I was confused why my monthly statements for fees were so low I just thought ebay was offering some final vlaue fee credit thingy for a few months. The one good thing about ebay's new payout system is immediately seeing the fees (if applicable) being taken out.

Funny how certain categories that the families of some Ebay execs are involved in as sellers have no final value fees.  And that poor higher up Nike exec who lost her job due to her family member selling shoes.  But then look at the former execs of Ebay, one who was a political candidate and another who came from Bain, well you can take a good guess which swamp they all breed in.

You have to read those seller updates.  I knew about this and I don't sell shoes.
