Hi everyone, I love ebay, been selling for 11 years. It has been scary slow lately! I was doing pretty good, but all of a sudden, no sales since April 25! This never happened before. I even called CS, nothing against my account. I continue to list, pray, and hope for the best! Anyone else slow down?

Ebay is no longer my go to selling site, I'll post but I don't expect to sell. If I sell I consider it a bonus. Down over 70% from last year and 64% from 30 days. I have no problems on other sites. Good luck to you and all sellers.

Things that I have done;
Ended all my listings and relisted them to refresh
Some of the ended listings go to sell similar, change something in the title and list it as a new listing.
Bumped my prices up to include shipping and then offer free shipping on everything.
Eliminated auctions
List new things everyday, if I have nothing to list I end listings, go to sell similar change something and relist
Hope this helps

Yes, you are right sales have decreased a lot in the previous months.
Well, I guess things are getting worse, not better. I think all the buyers
have turned into sellers LOL.

20th every month is the seller evaluation date. How smart is the AI?, does it monitor how fast you process sales, print the label, how long does it take to get to the post office.. does the algo see uneven distribution in the category and move to smooth out or spread out sales using viewability.. who knows. I do see a pattern in the dates after evaluations. Just keep ontop of your processing times , rest isnt in your control.

Thank you, yes, I agree, going to try that!

In most cases SELLERS are Buyers, and Buyers are Sellers. My guess is a truck load of sellers have left the eBay platform building, especially in 2021 when ALL sellers will be either YAY for MP, or it's a NO GO for MP. The latter is yours truly, it's a NO GO for ME, and I haven't purchase anything on eBay since March. My deadline to REGISTER for MP is on this coming Tuesday, and I'm officially OUT of HERE on that date from selling or you might call it retiring after 22 years (eBayer since 1999). Plus throw in the NEW INSUFFERABLE SELLER'S page, it's as good as time as any to retire. Buying? I might come back to buy something, if I don't see anything I need on Amazon. Truth be told, even if Amazon is a few bucks more, I'll buy it from Amazon.
Adios my fellow eBay Amigos & Amigas, it's been an enjoyable ride from able to receiving checks, MO, and even cash in the mail and up to INSTANT PP payment right now.
Oh, finally, YEP on the sellers from PRC, they are flooded on eBay as sellers. It's the SAME stock photo(s), and all the listings look the same mixed right in with the US sellers.
ALL the BEST - 🤗

Amazon is dead too

People were stuck inside for the past year. Now they are returning to work and getting outside which is good mentally and health wise.
Now that warm weather is coming, we are back in the normal cycle of eBay sales in the U.S.
Warm weather = low sales! Cold weather = higher sales! eBay knows this, but won't spend a dime on advertising and wonder why Amazon and other sites who advertise or play the news media for basically free publicity coverage does better.
It becomes a game! Stimulus checks are now being cancelled by higher gas, food, and property taxes. They now try to report lumber & steel prices are up (double / triple), gas stations might run out of gas due to lack of truck drivers. Government trying to get back that $$$.
I think all this will come back to bite us all! We are only 1/3 vaccinated in the U.S., but many think it is over while India is a mess right now.

When this question was asked in other forums previously, I cautiously suggested that maybe people are happy to be able to get out and shop in person at B&M stores instead of all that online shopping when they were quarantined.

Keep in mind, that eBay will occasionally throttle or cloak your listing exposure. They have been doing this for years, and have admitted as much. Sometimes, these episodes can last a while. To be sure, just selling in general has its normal ups and downs, regardless of where or how it's done. But I'm always able to tell when I have the iron curtain of darkness dropped over my listings. One can only play the coincidence, head in the sand gambit for so long. EBay...It is, what it is.

"Most"? Care to post the numbers?

Yeah, they turned into sellers on other sites that don't require personal financial info, like social media and classifieds.

Lots of citizens in India are posting video from their iPhones , saying that MM is lying and all those thousands of dead people being cremated outdoors are from an LG plant that had a massive gas leak, killing thousands. Not sure what to believe anymore.

Most of the sellers who have departed in the past few months. Here, let me get my crystal ball to determine the exact number for you.

If you are promoting your listings, there seems to be a problem with that lately.
